Re: TAMO: Tata's new mobility solutions brand. Full details on page 3

Looks like Tata is on a surprise roll.

After the Futuro, now a 3 door hatchback called the C-Cube. Though this looks more concept'ish than the Futuro rumour.

Unveiled at the Microsoft tech fest in Mumbai.

Wow. This car looks very chic!! Is the front grill closed aka an electric car? Also, I noticed vents in the side of the rear fender. Could this mean a rear engined vehice? Surely exciting times ahead!!

That hatchback is absolutely gorgeous. Will they actually build it?

Edit: On a second look - what's with the uneven panel gaps between the hatch and the bumper. Weird they'd do something like that in a one off demo!

Yeah with the position of the side and the rear vents, it does looks like its modified off the nano

Yep, and the picture focuses on it and makes it even worse!

But overall a good looking concept!

There is one more from Paul Formica.

Strange, how a photographer from Torino, Italy, who specialises in Wedding Photography, got to click Tata Motors Concepts.

Lovely looking car. But, am I the only one who feels that the C-Cube looks like a Brio on steroids?

I felt it is the Eon on steroids.
Nice car though. Hopefully it doesnt stay a concept only.

Why does it have flip type door handles? Couple that with rear engine and it looks as though there is Nano underneath. Now if doors are shut on Nano to make way for this, it would make for something very delicious!!

Great that it doesn't look like Indica on steroids, isn't it?

WOW

A 'TATA' car I can use as a wallpaper and drool!
Good times indeed.

I too, expected this to be based off the Nano, but seems like the engine is up front!

Someone please tell Tata that windscreen washers mounted on the bonnet are so NOT the future :(

Is it only to me? but this C Cube concept front fascia is very similar to the Manza hybrid concept which was showcased in 2012 AUTO EXPO. may be Tata wants to make some buzz for TAMO brand hence they released this unseen (maybe old concept) just now. The logo is also 2D, unlike the 3D logo on recent Tata cars.

Re: TAMO: Tata's new mobility solutions brand. Full details on page 3

I have to admit that I don't really understand all the reasons why an auto manufacturer invests in developing and making concept cars. With that little disclaimer out of the way, I will assume that it has something to do with a design that they want to test the waters with.

Can someone explain to me why a company whose primary market is India is developing a 3-door concept? Shouldn't you start with a 5-door concept? Nano has 4 doors!

While it does look radically different than anything Tata has put out since they started making cars, it doesn't look all that great. Please remember that this is a concept. Which means they don't have to worry about mass production just yet. The rear is ugly and the B-pillar is terrible. The front end is hit or miss. There is no personality.

As far as concepts go, the Nexon seems like a better option than this one. When I saw the Nexon in person, I wanted to own one. This one doesn't bring that emotion out in me.

Whoa that is a properly good looking car! Imagine that with a decent 3 cylinder engine and an automatic transmission. It can be a really good city runabout. Heck this would even work here in Australia as a purely city car.

Maybe, the 'C Cube' was developed at Trilix? That's in Turin. This photographer is based out of Turin too.

The tail lamps certainly do have some JLR influence, and I think the front is a little lost, maybe I am a bit spoilt by Tata Motor's recent offerings. Recent designs from Tata have certainly raised my expectations from them.
