Maruti Celerio Diesel may be discontinued

I've seen quite a few of these deployed at Maruti's in-house driving schools. Probably intended to give learners a 2-in-1 personal and commercial vehicle experience.

1 Lakh as discount, no wonder I see so many new Diesel Celerios in Bangalore as uber and ola taxis. I once had a talk with one of the driver and he was very happy with the returns he get. To me Celerio diesel makes perfect sense as a taxi in cities like bangalore.

Huge Increase (50%) of shipments of a flop vehicle can only mean one thing. Impending announcement of halting production. A very good time for Taxi fleet to bargain and secure very good discounts though personally I feel the Diesel version should not be on roads. My Nephew's toy car doesn't make this much noise!!

I can confirm that the diesel celerio has been discontinued. I was at Pratham motors, ORR Bangalore earlier. They have displayed the celerio diesel test drive car in true value area and it's up for sale.

Yes. It's discontinued. Only existing stocks with dealers are available for sale. Our dealership sold of the lone Celerio diesel last month at good discount.
