Congratulations

You don't really need much accessories since it is already a loaded car. I have however upsized the wheel to 195 Michelin XM2s, added magnetic sun shades and changed the bulbs.

For seat covers, I went for the Honda Art Leather Seat Covers itself with a perforated centre which blends beautifully with the car interiors.

Ohhhh... Michelin XM2 are awesome tyres. Have them on my current Swift. Did you get it exchanged at the showroom or made a deal with any tyre shop?

How's the seat cover from Honda? How much did it cost and is it worth it? My current ride has seat covers from G-Sport and they did a fab job since last 9.5 years. Considering that at the moment.

So this is an upgrade from 175 section, on 5.5J alloy, right?

Any issue with the clearance? Any scraping?

Yes XM2s are very good. Had them on my Ritz so couldn't think of anything else. However I believe 3PST and Continental MC5 are also great tyres. I exchanged them at a tyre shop on the day of the delivery of the car. OEM was Good Years so did not get a good buy back.

I like the seat cover a lot. Everyone who saw it thought the car had leather interiors. A pic below I had posted on a different thread. It cost me INR 8k for the same at the dealer.

Yes on the stock alloys. No issues whatsoever in the last 3k kms.

This seat cover looks good. However, doesn't appear in the accessory list mentioned in the Honda website. Or was it there earlier? What tyre specification did you go for? 195/60/R15?

Re: 2017 Honda City Facelift : A Close Look

No dealer in Bangalore is offering any discount on the new 2017 City facelift. Anyone booked recently managed to strike a good deal?

Also, should I be waiting for the GST to take effect or book one before that?

Rear bumper has a hint of dirt splash from your 'mischief's' wheels, it gets more prominent on the spot-less white shade.

There are absolutely no mud-flaps on your car? is it by design or you have got them removed?

It was not there on the website. It was something I chose at the showroom itself.

I removed them. I always do so on all my cars. Else it looks like the car has ear rings

Re: 2017 Honda City Facelift : A Close Look

Dear Team BHP,
I purchased the New Honda City ZX in March2017 and had paid the TCS on the ex-showroom price. The TCS is reflecting now in my Form26AS. Please advise what action is needed while filing my IT returns for the Assessment year 2017-18, with reference to this TCS?

Regards,
SMSP

Fingers crossed I hope I don't need to find out ever. It is a minor upgrade so it shouldn't. But again it depends on your rapport with the SA.

The amount should show as 'refund due' in your form 16. Correct me if I'm wrong. If so, all you need to do is do your filing as usual.

On a separate note, just got this message from Honda: " Dear Regd Customer. Now avail post GST Price Protection Assurance on Honda City upto Jun 30. Early delivery on select variants. Visit any Honda Dealer.T&C apply "
Makes me wonder if Honda mulling another price hike post gst? But why, as City sits in the < 1.5ltr 4+ mtr vehicle bracket that should not see any change in taxation.

Re: 2017 Honda City Facelift : A Close Look

Did anyone try for any upgrade to the headlights for 2017 facelifted Honda City V or lower models?

Can someone suggest what all upgrade options can be considered based on their knowledge or experience??

Re: 2017 Honda City Facelift : A Close Look

Took a 1102 kms round trip to Kodai and back from Chennai. Here's a photo essay. The CVT performs flawlessly and even in the Eco mode when you press on the gas pedal there's enough performance on tap. The car was loaded to the brim with luggage and 4 adults. Gave an FE of 14 kmpl approx. The CVT is very stress free to pilot. Cruise control is not for our roads as there were frequent barricade slaloms to be negotiated. Mishaps: Ran over a traffic cone and hit a small speed bump at 40 kmph.
