Yup. The spec sheet shared doesn't seem worthy of the 25 lacs price tag as speculated. Price should be in the 15 lacs category.

Are they targetting DC Avanti?

Can't see why they can't target a more mainstream version for around 15 lakhs. Would be an extremely interesting proposition then.

Hmmm... interesting looking, though I have to admit I was expecting a cleaner design.

This looks very busy - especially with the stickers. Hope those are optional.

A few things that stood out on the spec-sheet:

3-cyl / 190 PS ! (will be very interesting to see how this drives)
Staggered wheel setup
Discs all around
5.8m turning radius (huge for such a small car, even the Hexa is less at 5.6m. Maybe this adds some supercar personality )
6 speed AMT (why didn't they just stick to a manual!?)

There also seems to be a winged instrument display/cluster around the steering wheel. Visible in the pics above if you take a closer look.

1.2 L, 3 cylinder, AMT. All these are not exactly sports car territory. The turning radius also seems a bit high. Anyways, I reserve my judgement until I drive one.

If only they coupled 2 of these engines into a sweet sweet V6

Oh boy. 190 ps from 1.2 litre 3 pot engine! NVH is mostly gonna go for a toss from such specifications.

And you'd expect a cleaner design from a company which owns JLR but no.

AMT is the biggest downer though. God save the manuals!

IMO it can be a success if it hits the sweet spot of 15-20 lakhs. Good Luck Tata!

Was their plan to take advantage of lower excise duties with this? Could aid Tata to answer few prayers of lower "expected" sale price.

With a limited 250 numbers that they plan to sell, they sure are targeting exclusivity. I am not sure it would be priced low enough.
