I think for D+5 configuration is side facing rear seats in SWB and D+7 is side facing rear seats in MWB. The D+4 should be the forward facing rear seats in SWB

But, both these seating options are given under SWB. As per the website, 4+D and 7+D are optional, while 5+D is standard, for SWB.

Re: The 2017 Force Gurkha

Not sure of it. This is just a guess on my part.

Also the differential locks are not going to be available on the 4x2. So probably the 5+D is for the 4x2 version.

Yes, differential locks are there for only 4x4 version.
But, I thought both (3 door and 5 door) the explorer versions are only available with 4x4 drive.

All EXPLORERS are 4x4. It's 3-door and 5-door (if available).
EXPEDITION is 4x2 and it's 5-door only.

Asked for a TD a couple of days ago, but the dealer could not honor the commitment. Must say it is not good for a 1st impression.

I am told the 5-door version will get 4x4 shortly (a month or so).

Nice accessories. Any idea if they are available for sale over the counter? Especially the shovel holder, axe holder and the jerrycan holder-cum-ladder?

Instead, one would be better off getting a Pajero GLX under INR 5 lacs, mod it enough and you got a sensible offroader+cruiser+expedition capable vehicle!!! Except for the LWB, they get everything right. Ergonomics and worksmanship are excellent by Mitsubishi always.
But considering the terrain done on the Pajero I possess, no way I might end up with a Gurkha under the circumstances.
The Pajero will take you to delectable places.

I always wondered why car makers make roof in that shape

Bond may get his dates wrong, but his predictions usually come true. So, let's wait and hope for the best .

Re: The 2017 Force Gurkha

Force Motors / its dealers are so out of tune with the current times that it's not funny. So, whenever a brand announces a new dealership, the press release includes pics of the actual dealership, maybe the management inaugurating the facility etc.

Not Force. They send a screengrab of a webpage with the full browser showing . The only other manufacturer I've seen such stuff from is Hindustan Motors.

Quote:
Rohit Force is delighted to announce the appointment of Force Gurkha to its Delhi – GT Karnal road dealer network. Formally known as Rohit Autowheels Pvt Ltd. is located on the Delhi – GT Karnal road in a state of the art vehicle showroom which can showcase the full Force Motors passenger and commercial vehicle range, including the new Gurkha 4x4x4. All Dealership employs are trained from Force Motors.
Actual (and only) image received in the press release:
