Re: Tata & Jayem Automotives partner to develop performance cars

Jayem Auto has been working with Tata and Mahindra for well over a decade, testing and fine-tuning their engines and suspensions for a very long time. So I guess, for both companies, this is a logical way forward.

Look forward to seeing some exciting small cars ahead.

Good news!

But I'm a little confused. Tata owns Jaguar+Land Rover. They make one of the most powerful and luxurious cars in the world. Why not incorporate tech from them instead of making a JV with other companies?

Re: Tata & Jayem Automotives partner to develop performance cars

An earlier post in this thread quoted from Autocar, that modification will likely cost 60K to 100K Rupees for a car. I guess incorporating tech from JLR would cost many times more. That may be the reason.
