Yes, same with Delhi. It will be on display from tomorrow and onwards. I might just go tomorrow and if I do, I will revert and share my feedback.

Not in any mall for now but you can go take a look at it from today at the KHT dealership, inner ring road after 4:00 PM. Supposed to be open to all.

My prebooking for the Compass Limited (O) 4x4 is done just now on the official Jeep Compass site www.knowyourcompass.co.in . The booking amount is 50000 which has to be paid onlinne when booking.
Lets see now how long the wait is for the delivery. I expect it to be around Sep-Oct as they have mentioned 'get your delivery by festive season'.
I will try to go to the Delhi Showroom to see the car today afternoon (haven't seen it yet). Will certainly post pics and updates once I see it.
The good thing is that Jeep is now opening a showroom in Gurgaon which was not there earlier and this helped swing my decision in favour of the Compass.

I see from the jeep website only the limited (top end) variant has the 4x4 option the other two, sports and longitude do not. I always thought that jeep is meant to be go anywhere vehicle. how can they not offer 4x4 on lower variants.

Looked at the JEEP website and searched for dealers in Hyderabad. Says, "Coming Soon". With so much advertising and hype by JEEP in all modes of media, hope they are planning for wider dealer network across. Then comes efficient & capable service centers with trained staff. All this could take time.

With this sort of planning (not sure how many more cities across the country do not have a JEEP dealership yet) maybe they not planning to sell in large numbers initially. Once the initial excitement wears off for new buyers, customers will expect predictable service standards & accessibility. FIAT had the same issue earlier. I remember someone trying to get a leaking radiator fixed for Fiat Palio and for the longest time (months) no spares were available. Ultimately the person had to sell the Palio and purchased a car from Hyundai. Very happy with to service network of Hyundai, since then.

The JEEP Compass looks like a great vehicle from what I saw when it was displayed in a local Mall last week. Just hoping JEEP as a Company sets up a wider dealer network soon so that they can sell in larger numbers as many customers are wanting to own a JEEP brand.

The jeep india site for booking is pathetic. The images takes forever to load. Come on Jeep, you can do better than that. I am scrolling through all the five colors and they are taking so much time to load that I could type this post in between. Was able to view just red and blue colors in the time it took to write this post.

Well Magic happened. Now seems everything is working at great speed. Should have wished for something more. I now wish for Jeep to reveal their prices immediately.

They have also opened a Showroom in Gurgaon on MG road near Guru Dronacharya station and I am also planning to go there in the afternoon today to see the Compass (I have already prebooked it though!)

A friend and Tbhpian just checked out one at Cochin. He drives a Safari and hence feedback based on it.

• 4 seater
• pretty small
• front is bit imposing, likes of Ecosport
• Gear shift feels good
• No Fiat liek thud when you close doors
• Small steering
• too many dummy buttons
• thigh support isnt good
• fit and finish is good
• boot space comparable to regular cars
• in all, felt like a compact SUV
