Or maybe this maroon shade itself is called Prime Gallant red. The way these shades are named now a days, one can differentiate very little between them without seeing other shades.

Great to see Maruti offer Safety even on basic models.

I remember seeing a recent TV commercial by ford saying we offer 6 airbags not just two. So hoping that shortly we dont need to do much compromise on safety aspects.

Old vs new DZire, outside Maruti-Suzuki's Manesar plant.

Also, a look at the new DZire mass production models on the floors of the Manesar factory, with CV Raman, MSIL's R&D Chief, acting as the guide. We can see all 3 new colour shades for the DZire, including my favourite Oxford Blue at the very end.

Official Bookings Open ! Dzire can be pre-booked for a payment of Rs 11,000 at Maruti Suzuki dealerships across the country. The customers who have booked the old Swift Dzire also have the option to change it to the new Dzire !

The carmaker today officially announced the commencement of bookings for the car across the 2000+ dealerships that the company has in India. Dealers are accepting bookings for the car for a token of ₹ 11,000 and they are also offering to transfer the bookings to the new Dzire for the customer who had booked the outgoing model. They'll, of course, will have to bear a slightly longer waiting period. Customers also have to option leave their contact details on the company's official website for a callback.

Could not find any specifications on the official website, but all the automotive sites have listed the ground clearance of the 2017 Dzire as 163 mm against the outgoing Swift Dzire's GC of 170mm.

That's, I guess, headline making price. The rest of the variants will definitely be priced more. Private buyers often do not buy the base variants, and they end up buying the top end or a variant below.
