Re: Meeting the 2017 Maruti Dzire

Maruti has one more winner in hand now and competitors must be having sleepless nights. Car looks smart and has too many goodies. MSIL has corrected many issues like rear space, rear AC, bigger boot, new styling and many more. This will kill cars like Zest, Amaze, Xcent etc. I am sure Maruti will price this very aggressively, may be little more than existing one. Great going Maruti !!!

Am I the only one who thinks that the front face reminds you of the animated car McQueen from Pixar.?
It definitely does - and it's refreshing.

No, you are not the only one who thinks that. This indeed looks like 'Lightning McQueen' from the movie 'Cars'. That's kind of cute.

Thank you for the news and the insights.
Maybe just me, but the picture of the car in say, Silky Silver, has quite some resemblance to the venerable HM Ambassador.

Maruti have + variants of Brezza (ZDi+) and Ertiga (ZXi+/ ZDi+). The Ciaz while in Maruti showrooms also had + variants. These + variants are not about safety features. Basically, they add better infotainment systems, and other convenience features. For example, in the Brezza, the ZDi+ trim gets cruise control, rain sensing wipers and auto headlights.

In cars like Swift, Wagon R and Celerio, where full safety kit is optional, the variant nomenclature is "(O)", like LXi(O), VDi(O), ZXi AMT(O), etc.

Re: Meeting the 2017 Maruti Dzire

The feature list even for the base variants is biased towards safety which is what many of us wanted. However, I would still keeps my fingers crossed & hope they do not skip the trivial things like tachometer for the Lxi/Ldi(even though its equipped with MID).

Re: Meeting the 2017 Maruti Dzire

The base variant has an impressive feature list for sure! Cosmetics like ICE, alloys can be added later, but it covers all the basics for someone on a tight budget

Re: Meeting the 2017 Maruti Dzire

Excellent preview Maruti got a winner this time for sure. This one looks way better than the current generation, can't forget the decent safety package on offer from the base variant. Now waiting for the official review. This will surely make a dip on the sales chart of Ameo, Xcent, Amaze and the likes.

If this is true, then that's great pricing. The current Dzire's Lxi ABS variant is ~ Rs. 6.42 lakhs OTR in Kerala. So that's just an increase of 8,000 rupees for the base model. Not bad at all.

Isn't the colour being launched in India Prime Gallant Red, so I am assuming this colour is not for India?
