| ![]() Just noticed, Ecosport has been revealed in Europe yesterday, ahead of Frankfurt show. Attaching few pictures. Notice the ST badging, which basically means those models get big alloys and different bumpers plus “sports-tuned driving dynamics”. I wonder what the "S" line that @Gannu_1 spotted few days back means ![]() *fingers crossed* |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Not sure if its the effect of the picture shot with a mobile phone, but the wheel offset looks a bit more than the other ES. Does it mean, this one sits more squat!? Quote:

The cabin does look leaps ahead the current gen EcoSport, which itself is pretty good. About the central a/c vents, aren't those too low to be effective for the rear bench? At that height, most of the air flow might just get obstructed by the front seat/passengers. Love the black theme; the faint grey seat on mine feel slightly dull.

| ![]() Agam Bhandari is right, this is indeed a dealer car. If you note closely the license plate is TN-07 BK TC which is a Tiruvanmiyur RTO plate. Ford plant test mules are always TN-19 (Chengalpattu RTO). |

| ![]() Just came across this link on News18 website - http://www.news18.com/news/auto/2018...l-1510831.html Obviously this is the European model - was wondering if Ford, in the light of the wonderful response to the Jeep Compass here, would have the guts and gumption to bring out the ST line here in all its glory - The new Ford EcoSport for the first time offers Ford Intelligent All Wheel Drive technology for improved traction on- and off-road, combined with an advanced new 1.5-litre EcoBlue diesel engine, delivering up to 125 PS and 300 Nm of peak torque. Also offered will be Ford’s multi-award-winning 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol in 140 PS, 125 PS and – from mid-2018 – 100 PS power outputs, with a six-speed manual gearbox; and 125 PS with a six-speed automatic gearbox featuring steering-column mounted paddle-shifters for convenient gear-shifting. Even now the Ecosport rakes in very good numbers - around 4400 this month. Sales could really take off with more aggressive variant offerings and positioning. | ![]() I strongly believe we might get the S (Or the Sports Variant) since that has been spotted testing many times incl. the one mentioned in the above post from Gannu_1. |

| ![]() Sports variant with all wheel drive will be the new compass in this segment - ford will hammer it all the way to the bank! Ford has to be smart - this is their bread and butter model and they have to absolutely make this version an unbeatable option - thats going to be a proper all wheel drive and ford driving dynamics. | ![]() Interesting to see two different views that Top Gear has about the New Ecosport. Top Gear UK ![]() Top Gear India ![]() Wishing they had similar formatting in both their websites. Would have been easier to spot the difference. Last edited by rohitoasis : 6th September 2017 at 20:15. |

Their initial review for the UK-spec car wasn't flattering either, and it doesn't help that they have plenty of 'real' Fords to choose from, so their disappointment with a FWD pretend-crossover/compact SUV (call it whatever one likes to) isn't really surprising.

Currently the top version of the petrol (AT) is priced around 10 lacs and the diesel (manual) around 11 lacs. The additional features would probably push up the petrol version to 12.5 lacs and the diesel (AT+AWD) to around 14.5. My gut tells me there would be quite a few takers for these (if showcased well).

| ![]() I don't think we are going to get a fully loaded automatic. Look at Ford's current portfolio and you'll see that there is not a single car with that configuration, and that's common across most manufacturers. For my part, I would jump at a full loaded automatic at about a ₹1 lac premium over the outgoing Titanium automatic trim. |
