| ![]() As per this piece on CarDekho, Ecosport will be cheaper to buy in Mumbai, but will become more expensive for Delhi residents post GST. https://www.cardekho.com/india-car-n...ndia-20467.htm |

![]() Back to the topic at hand... This is sooper news if true. For long we have suffered the tyranny of geography. Another clarification I needed. All the articles show various categories of cars getting affected by GST. They don't mention compact SUV as a class. So where does Ecosport slot in? Small Car? Mid Sized Car? Or SUV? | ![]() "Tata Motors is believed to have advanced the launch of its most awaited product Nexon by 4-8 weeks to cash in on the improved buyer sentiment following the series of price cuts after GST implementation. It is now learnt that the company will not wait till Diwali (late October), its earlier scheduled launched period, and will now launch the compact SUV in late August or early September." Makes me wonder what happens to Ford India's Ecosport launch window with this development. Anybody has any info regarding this? http://www.moneycontrol.com/news/bus...t-2319971.html |

| ![]() Heart feels a bit of sadness looking at all the activity in the Tata Nexon thread. Seems the launch is pretty close for it. Meanwhile, no chatter , no spy pics, no info at all for the refreshed Ford Ecosport. :( |

The current ecosports Achilles is its interior space and petrol/diesel auto options besides the front looks and old interiors, both of which have been greatly improved from the new pics i have seen. I doubt they can increase the interior space by much but engine transmission options is very much possible.Ford, dont screw this up! ![]() coming from a current Ford owner, their yearly maintenance cost is way cheaper than a maruti ,hence cost of ownership and resale shouldn't be an issue. | ![]() If it's sometime in 2018 then it's quite late! Ford is already losing out to the Brezza big time and the other cars in its line up like the Figo aspire and Figo haven't really performed in line with expectations. The ecosport seems to be their only hope and hence they should get it sooner than Auto expo 2018. |

| ![]() 2018 is too damn late. I, for one, would definitely switch to either Nexon or WRV by that time. Also, the international debut for the car has already happened. It was unveiled in US last year, and has already been launched in Brazil. I posted a video review link here couple of weeks back. Strangely, Financial Express also reporting the same but I don't believe that link bait journalism much. http://www.financialexpress.com/auto...t-year/764279/ I wonder why would Ford shoot itself in the balls by launching Ecosport in 2018. Anything beyond October will be too late. |

| ![]() Folks, a story over at IAB corroborates October 2017/festive period launch for the new Ecosport, hopefully it prevails. http://indianautosblog.com/upcoming-...-2017-facelift |

| ![]() Sorry unable to edit and add this link to my last message, but it seems like even IBTimes is mentioning Ecosport launch window as early next year, although unsure of their sources. Same publication/author had talked about refreshed model coming in early 2017 too. http://www.ibtimes.co.in/new-ford-ec...ia-2018-734946 Nonetheless, if true, Ford India is being plain stupid especially with Nexon launch fast forwarded and all the positive talk about its engines now. |
