BMW M760Li launched in India at Rs. 2.27 crore

BMW has launched the M760Li in India, which has now become the new top-end variant in the 7-Series line-up. The M-performance 7-Series is available in two variants - M760Li Standard and M760Li V12 Excellence. Both these variants are priced at Rs. 2.27 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Powering the BMW M760Li is a 6.6-litre, V12 TwinPower turbo petrol engine that churns out 601 BHP and 800 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic gearbox that transfers power to all four wheels through the xDrive all-wheel drive system. BMW claims that the M760Li can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. The company-claimed fuel economy figure for the petrol V12 engine is 7.94 km/l.

The M-performance 7-Series also comes with some cosmetic and performance-related changes that differentiate it from the regular models. These include larger air dams, grey-coloured treatment on the front grille and air blades, 20-inch double-spoke alloy wheels, M and V12 badges on the inside and out, M Sport exhaust with dual tailpipes and illuminated door sill plates.

Whats the difference between the standard and excellence variants then? Same price for 2 variants is something i have encountered for the first time.

I think the Excellence is the toned down version, without the M sport exterior bits, for those who prefer to lay low.

Had spotted one last month, apparently India's only M760Li. Weird for them to launch it 'officially' now though, since this one is procured from the Mumbai Dealer itself.

This happens to be a Centennial edition, one of 100 in the world.
