I see a rain and light sensor there. So the Zeta will get automatic headlamps + automatic wiper. But no DRLs for the Zeta? That means the Alpha might get a new headlight cluster with integrated DRL or an external DRL. Hope it will get LED headlamps like the Vento and the City.

I don't think so. There are no sensors seen as the IRVM area from the outside looks very similar to the outgoing Ciaz.

The RLS is integrated in the same black strip that carries the wiring for the IRVM. In the scoop picture, if you notice closely, there are a few grey spots on the strip slightly below the wiper line. In the picture posted by you the strip is thicker, and is completely black. It could be the image quality though, no bets on that. Just speculating.

Re: Maruti Ciaz spotted testing with some updates

At least on the S Cross, there's a separate strip with the sensor. I don't see that on the above snap.

Re: Maruti Ciaz spotted testing with some updates

I spotted the same again yet again ! This was just outside Maruti's Gurgaon plant at about 4:30 pm on 6th June. The car seemed to have finished a round of testing and was heading back to the plant through gate 1. Quickly snapped a couple of shots. In these pictures the lower half of the rear bumper can be seen clearly which appeared masked with a black tape earlier. Have applied a watermark to the best of my limited photo editing skills.

Re: Maruti Ciaz spotted testing with some updates

Don't see the "Smart Hybrid" sticker on this
With hybrid benefits not being extended to SHVS vehicles, Suzuki might be removing this from the Ciaz to cut costs

Re: Maruti Ciaz spotted testing with some updates

Along with Removal of SHVS system, I also wish Maruti updates that Automatic Gearbox from TC to CVT. Now that the Ciaz is a NEXA Offering.

With Premium City at Premium Price & Ciaz being so close to City, Maruti can up the game by offering efficient & smooth CVT with that 1.4 Petrol or a Boosterjet if they intend to. Have driven Baleno CVT & it's damn good.

With Ciaz being more of a Comfort oriented car, Maruti should use this opportunity. With Diesel being more harmful, Maruti should promote Petrol by offering Multiple Engine's at various price brackets. If they do this, expect Ciaz to do 9-10k/month.

Wow. The Headlights, alloys and fog lamp cluster looks good. But the front grill looks hideous IMO. Thanks for sharing.

Swapnil

Looks like a quick photoshop and a mix n match of S cross facelift and Ciaz. The facelift won't look like this for sure.

Shashi

Suzuki ALIVIO face-lift as seen in China.

front air grille change to the current popularity of mouth grille design, while the front bumper Both sides of the fog lamp with a black polygonal imitation of the air inlet, sharp lines, with the front lip out of the sudden design, style is very sporty. Body tail, the shape of the basic use of the cash model of the design style, but in the bumper at the subtle adjustment, it seems more texture. In addition, the car according to the different configuration will provide the door chrome anti-rubbing and skylight and other configurations.

Re: Maruti Ciaz spotted testing with some updates

I must say that Maruti-Suzuki are experts in how 'NOT' to design the front grill.
That just looks hideous. I wonder what prevented them from filling the lower half of the grill from filling with chrome strips!!

Re: Maruti Ciaz spotted testing with some updates

A more clear view of the Suzuki Alivio front view - could be China specific ?

That's what is called cost cutting in corporate terms. Why would a indian car need a look and design when all it needs is only a maruti suzuki moniker?

Jokes apart. It just looks like a test mule. Chrome strips will be upgraded in the real version.
