Floor mats are a must. This is a premium car and one should take utmost care not to spoil the interiors any which way. A good quality 3D floor mats will do. Usage of side foot step will always remain debatable. It adds to the sheer SUV look though. Helps in cleaning the roof too.
By the way, did you book it online? How did you obtain the coupon?

Exactly, I too have test driven both manual and automatic and can say automatic is a boon in city traffic. Me too have booked the W11 (O) AT.

Well, I didn't get any such information from my dealer here in Pune. Will check with them again. Congratulations on your booking.

Cheers!!

This aftermarket infotainment system for the Mahindra XUV500 replaces the buttons and climate control dials on the centre console with a giant, Tesla-like 12.1-inch touchscreen.

Won't the huge screen be a distraction while driving.

Are the AC Buttons always there in this? If not there is a high chance it will take attention away from the road.

Absolutely. This screen is like a disaster in making. With all controls now in touchscreen, driver will have to search for small buttons for every little thing making him loose focus on road. Specially in our country when anyone or rather anything can pop up right in front of our car anytime.

Took delivery of XUV W9 Automatic yesterday.

Thanks to this wonderful forum, was following the launch from last year. Was planning for W7 which is true value for money. But after some thought regarding the extra features in W9 like fog lamps, reverse camera, alloy wheels, lumbar support, telescopic steering etc decided to go for W9.

No AWD is not available as of now. The Option one is just with 18" wheels.

Many congratulations on your purchase, Sir. Great choice, indeed. Wish you countless happy mile munching.

P.S.- Eagerly waiting for my XUV500. Booked on 8th. How long did your dealer take?

AWD is an option offered in W11(O) variant. It costs some 1.5-odd Lakhs more than the FWD version. Offered both in MT and AT.

Thank you for the wishes. Eventhough they quoted 1 month initially, vehicle was allotted in 1 week itself. But I delayed it by more 1 week to check vehicle in stockyard, arrange finances etc.

Re: Mahindra XUV500 facelift coming, to get power hike. EDIT: Now launched @ Rs 12.32 lakhs

Hello members,

This is my first post in the TBHP Forum.

People call me JD, and I am from Chennai.

I have been following this thread for a very long time and am happy to announce that I have booked an XUV500 W11 (O) AWD (Crimson Red) on 15th.

I have been contemplating the XUV and Hexa for a long time and finally decided to go for the XUV.

I would like some guidance on insurance of the new vehicle. The dealer has quoted 87+k and is ready to offer 30+k discount on the bumper to bumper policy; I did note some online quotes were even cheaper - but am confused if these are the same as the ones offered by the dealer - and also if the discounted premium will mean reduced benefits in some way (both from the dealer and from the online plans). Can someone advise me in this matter please. Thanks.

Regards
JD

Get the lowest priced zero depreciation insurance with RDA Road Side Assistance.

HDFC Ergo or ICICI Lombard tend to be among the lowest priced (not necessarily) reliable options.
If Dealer matches within 3k of outside vendor go with Dealer for the first year.
