The 2018 XUV500 facelift spotted from close quarters by an IAB reader.

The spy shot reveals the 2018 Mahindra XUV500’s new radiator grille and suggests that the headlamps and fog lamps’ look may not change at all.
A previous spy shot has indicated that the tail lamps would remain unchanged, but the rear fascia still may get a new look, with a redesigned license plate housing.
The 2018 Mahindra XUV500 may not have major changes on the inside. A spy shot last month showed the new XUV500 having the instrument console backlight, centre console and steering wheel same as the current model. Mahindra may upgrade the infotainment system to support Apple CarPlay.

The rear of the 2018 XUV500 facelift was snapped from up close in Chennai by a Digit reader.

The tail lamps and the overall shape of the rear suggests that the upcoming XUV500 will retain much of the present XUV500’s aesthetics, while the hidden front grille and headlamps suggest a redesigned front fascia. This also falls in line with the previous leak, which showed a new grille design. The new XUV500 will also retain the buckle-shaped door handles, and the large two-cluster instrument panel, as seen in the car spotted today.

More spy shots of the XUV500 Facelift emerge. It appears there are minimal to no changes from the sides and the rear. If the grille that's posted in the previous page is what Mahindra is planning to incorporate, they might as well leave the front fascia untouched. The current one is far better.

With the rumored higher tune of the engine, the XUV500 should be one real quick SUV vis-a-vis its rivals.

These new exclusive images reveal the new design of the twin barrel headlamp along with slightly tweaked tail-lamps, as well as the contours of the bumpers up front and at the rear. The new design of the alloy wheels for the 2018 facelift is also on full display here.
The major changes are on the front of the vehicle, which is expected to get a brand new, Audi-like grille. The headlamps and the fog lamps on the car have also been redesigned. The front bumper now gets redesigned, and so does the rear bumper with changes made to the tail-lamps as well. The alloy wheels are also expected to get a new design. The camouflaged test mule has alloy wheels with gunmetal finish, hinting that it could be offered on the facelift.

Seems like the S shaped LED DRL has gone away and a conventional looking LED DRL is in the headlamp housing. Sad, M&M are playing around with grille a lot. The current one seems apt for the SUV. Apart from the subtle changes to the front end of exterior, they could’ve limited the camouflage to front end alone rather than wrapping it completely. Based on everyone’s contemplation, the higher state of tune should make it a hoot to drive. Besides, alloys looks like the design elements are from the aero concept that looks nice but should’ve a black theme applied.

Is this 170 bhp tune already running anywhere outside India? Search didn't yielded any results towards that. During a casual chat conversation, a tuner mentioned its already there on the international market & can be further tuned to achieve somewhere closer to 190 horses.

Good catch!!
- Felt the new DRL was bit 'loud'. Personally liked the DRL's of current generation.
- One XUV test mule has current gen headlight while other one had lights with new DRL's.
- The MUV seen in video, speculated to be XUV 700 looks very Innova'ish.

AFAIK, the new XUV and mahindra's MUV are two different vehicles altogether. You can clearly see the difference in the front appearance where the MUV's grille is similar to the new Mahindra pick-up's. This does look kind of a van, similar to the Innova.
The new XUV however looks likely to retain its old interiors and rear design.

Yes. Agree on both being two different vehicles. What I meant was, in the video they are claiming the MUV looking vehicle to be XUV 700. Till now I was thinking XUV 700 to be an SUV.

Thats not XUV 700 but Mahindra's new MUV. XUV700 would be a Rexton with MnM badge. Dont go by the video since they claim it to be XUV Aero Neither its Aero, XUV 700,dont know bout sedan.

Guys my dad wants to replace our W4 with an automatic W6. I told him to wait for the refreshed model but he was not bothered about the cosmetic changes. Then i told him about the new/improved engine specs so he decided to wait.
So if mahindra displays the face-lifted car at the coming AutoExpo then how long will it take for it to hit the showrooms ? Any indication of a rise in the prices ?

It's not a sedan, it's the Tivoli. While then person is enthusiastic, he got all the names incorrect - nothing wrong with it though.

I'd too suggest wait up, Its not going to be cosmetic this time, A power bump is mostly confirmed, Add to that knowing mahindra they will surely price is aggressively, I was able to get the New gen facelift just after 8-9 days since it was launched so i guess should be the same with the next one.
