Rumour: New-gen Volvo XC60 to launch in India in late 2017

While the India launch of XC60 is underway, the car is honored in Japan.

Gets the coveted title of Japan's 'Car of the Year 2018' title. Beats home grown favorite Toyota.

In doing so, it beat two very strong rivals: the BMW 5 Series and home favourite Toyota Camry.

This is only the second time that a foreign car won this coveted title in Japan, the XC60 from the jury received a total of 294 points. The other place to find BMW 5 series with 52 points off, while the third position won the Toyota Camry with 232 points.

Humble Suzuki's Swift comes 4th.
