Wow ! The wait was long indeed. Congratulations. That engine is a gem and it's a great car. Looking forward to your ownership review. Cheers Last edited by Blackbolt : 6th June 2020 at 22:01.

| ![]() Need help. Stuck between BMW 620d & 630i. I will be the driver. 10-12k is the average mileage, plan to take the car on highways for long drives. Find 630i engine more powerful but not sure of its mileage. Its more about distance to empty. I see lot of used 6GTs available for sale within 2-3 years of ownership, esp 630i. Is there any issue/ challenge owners face? What discounts to expect during Oct/Nov? Planning to buy from Chandigarh and register in Himachal (Una, my home town). Thanks in advance. |

My personal view is go for the petrol. My 2 litre diesel gives 600 km + range. I am sure you should get at least 400 plus tank range in the petrol but owners best clarify that. For a car of that stature the 2.0 litre diesel is just a bit gruff and unrefined. You will experience a much more luxurious experience owning the petrol. It will also not be budget spec like the 2.0 litre diesel. If it is the diesel it has to be the 3 litre engine. Last edited by Axe77 : 21st October 2020 at 08:03.

If driven sedately, it should have a decent range of 400-500kms / tankful. Fuel efficiency should be around 7 in city, and 12-13 on highway. Regarding used 6GT: there are several in Mumbai too but nothing out of the ordinary compared to E/5 on sale, and a bunch of them are dealer demo cars which are probably on the block before the 6GT LCI comes in. I don't expect any troubles with the car as the engines are tried and tested on other BMW's, and overall should be above average. The only pain point I can think off is the air suspension - something many manufacturers have struggled with given our road conditions.

| ![]() Hi, Unable to send you a DM. Check out what your dealer has in his inventory as the chances of getting a good deal are more if he has the car in stock with him. If he has to order a new car for you - chances of getting a discount higher than 5 lacs would be lesser. Else you can also shop around in all the dealerships across the country and get the car registered in Daman/Diu. Considering you are in Gujrat - it shouldn't be a problem. Quote:
My car is giving close to 800kms plus on every tank refill. Fuel efficiency is roughly about 15kmpl (but with daily highway runs and sedate driving). Yesterday drove from Jalgaon to Indore with a lead heavy foot - and managed an efficiency of mere 11kmpl. Last edited by manson : 19th February 2021 at 13:44. Reason: Merged posts.
