| ![]() Looks like there will be no more 5GT. The 6 Series will now be the 8 series, so only makes sense that they give something else the 6 Series moniker. |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Some more pics have come in, this time in the M-Sport trim; ![]() ![]() ![]() The above car is looking better than the previous gen 5GT, im sure will have many more takers in India considering the 3GT does well here. |

| ![]() 3 series GT is ugly and so is this one. 3 series GT does not have a spare tyre, how about this one? |

| ![]() I thought they are done with the bad designs (with the last 5GT) but they still have it in them. The 3GT looked reasonably alright but this one looks all bloated and cumbersome! |

Also, Clearly there is a market for these ugly GT cars, that kinda target audience would look at this car and say this is more practical/spacious etc v/s the regular 5 ![]() | |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() The M sport version looks just about palatable but the regular version with that chrome filled grille just looks terrible. In fact the kidney grille in the new 5 series is a bit too stretched and too close to each other making it look like a single unit and I am finding it extremely difficult to like the front end. ![]() |

| ![]() I, for one really like this design language. I've always liked the 3GT and this just refines the lines a bit more. Interior is typical BMW which is lovely. The added practicality of a GT body type gets brownie points nonetheless. Just my two cents. |

| ![]() IMHO, the E-Class LWB has got its work cut out now that this is on the cards. This looks like it has got more space, features, presence, practicality and drive dynamics (considering its a BMW) than the E. It is also the best GT design by BMW yet. Those 3D looking rear lights would look insane in real life. The photos also suggest a much bigger kidney grill than the 5 Series and the flares on the hood make the design more appealing. See here how much different it is from the 5GT - http://www.bmwblog.com/2017/06/14/ph...s-5-series-gt/ Also looking at the interiors, it has even more borrowed from the 7 than what the 5 got. ![]() All in all it gets a thumbs up from me and should do well in India when it makes its way here. All those 5 Series customers looking for more practicality and space have got something to cheer about. Watch out E-Class ![]() |

| ![]() They should probably badge this as a 5 GT. The F10 5 series was launched in India as a CBU GT version and priced way too high hence it flopped. If they priced that car well by getting it as a CKD it would be a great success as it one of the best back seats. The closest you can get to 7 series backseat at a much lower cost. Infact just last week my Uber in London was a 5 GT and I thought to myself that BMW India should launch the new 5 GT in India to take on the E-class LWB. |
