The Next Generation Sunny actually looks like gone 3 generations behind. Look at the front styling for God's sake and tell me you are not getting that into production. The lights resemble Elantra for sure, and the chrome used around the Nissan emblem looks really ugly IMHO.

The last time Chrome use made a car look so much worse was the new Honda Amaze.

Seriously Nissan designers seem to have lost it here.

Isn't this the new generation Micra with a boot? Will it get class leading equipment is the query? And like Renault, will they use sub-standard parts? Can't seem to trust the products manufactured by Renault-Nissan group. I will not buy their products under any circumstances.

Nissan has begun road-testing the next-gen Sunny sedan.

Just like the new Micra, the next-gen Sunny will be based on the updated V platform that also underpins the large Nissan Note hatchback and the Kicks crossover sold abroad

The model being tested abroad (see spy shots on our forum here) gets a sculpted look at the front, with a large V-motion grille that merges well with the front bumper. The headlights are sharply styled and blend with a chrome grille outline, like the one seen on the Nissan Kicks. Moving on to the side, the new Sunny features a large glasshouse with a larger rear door, just like the outgoing model. Expect the production-spec Sunny to feature a floating roof design as well

Under the hood, expect Nissan to plonk in a 1.6-litre petrol that’s good for around 114hp, similar to the Kicks crossover.

Next-gen Nissan Sunny global unveil on April 12, 2019.

The new Sunny is a global model and is sold in many countries as the Almera or the Versa. It is going to be loosely based on the Nissan Lannia sedan that’s already on sale in China, and although the new Sunny will take design cues from it, the car will get a more conventional rear door and boot design to bring it more in line with the company’s current-gen sedans sold abroad

Nissan is expected to power the new Sunny with its 1.6-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that is good for around 114hp, similar to the Kicks sold in the international market.

Nissan has made no announcement regarding its plan on bringing the next-gen Sunny sedan to India.

If the next-gen Micra isn't going to make it to India, don't think there is any chance of the next-generation Sunny making it to India. Rather it will be India specific model based on the cheap CMF architecture the group is harping about. Not sure if it is worth waiting for the updated Sunny in India.

The lines of this Orange Render are so similar to my MAZDA 3 BN. I have just checked and haven't been able to find any linkage between the two models though.

All New Nissan Almera/Versa officially unveiled, goes high Tech with more Power too.

Power is provided by an upgraded 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 122 hp (91 kW / 124 PS) and 114 lb-ft (154 Nm) of torque. This is a modest improvement of 13 hp (10 kW / 13 PS) and 7 lb-ft (9 Nm) of torque.

Despite the updated engine, Nissan decided to retain the five-speed manual transmission and an “enhanced” CVT.
