I guess that has something to do with the side view mirrors. They are cheapo kind in Lx and Lxi (similart to Alto, M800) but bigger and electric ones in VXi.
Same goes with wagonR. The side view mirrors are different in VXi from the LX/LXi versions, being much bigger and electrically operated. I guess that accounts for width difference. Cant think of anything else.

Zen Estilo starts at Rs 3.2 lakh- The Economic Times

Unbelievable. 4 lakh car (ex showroom) having Anti-Braking System (ABS) and air-bags.

Going to be tough days for Satro & even for Wagon-R

Was told by a dealer that they're gonna stop the wagon-r cause not many like it's shape (including me )
Why should it affect the sales of the swift ?? It's in a lower league.
A member mentioned that he was upset that ABS and airbags are not available, but they are as per the website.

Giving the link to the official site
Zen Estilo

variants (abs & airbags mentioned)
Zen - Estilo

Exact pricing
Zen - Estilo

its sweet looking only with kits and alloys. I think they should have these kits standard, other wise cars looks odd.

I prefer the 2 generation older zen... Not the current one nor the previous one...
I wonder why everyone is going after tall boy design?

I have a feeling this is a WagonR replacement... may be only DUO Wagon R will continue...

Well, i doubt if estilo will compete against wagonR coz the main adv which wagonR has is its duo engine, which i am sure maruti is not giving to estilo because in that case, it will surely kill wagonR sales.

Another clever move by maruti.

by doing this, both wagonR as well as estilo(i wont call it a zen, its an insult to zen ) can co-exist

The strategy is for the Wagon R to take o nthe taxi market from the Omni and let the Zen partially ill the Wagon R niche...using very little extra resources

Who can beat Maruti giving the old wine in a new bottle ! ?? Not even a new bottle but maybe just a new cap or cork !! However, it is sad that we Indians are made to fall prey for all this. I simply dont like the zen degraded this way and by this launch Maruti is certainly making the ZEN brand decadent !

WagonR sold 11.5 k units last month... Dont think they'll discontinue unless then numbers fall below 4k...

Zen was close to 2.5k units a month when it was discontinued...

Also, wagonR now sells well cause of duo- engine...

Its clear that the Santro sales are what Maruti is after... Cause... look at the website... They compare the Estilo to the Santro only... ... Santro is going to have a bad time...

I have already seen so many WagonR taxis in NCR (most of them are DUO or LPG converts). Mostly used by some IT companies and call centers.

I think the interiors of Estilo are better than even the Swift. The interiors of even the new WagonR is the same old boring stuff and the boring interiors were always a trademark of Maruti.

A Maruti salesman told me that the Estilo will be having the same price as that of WagonR. So it seems to be like that the sales of WagonR will plummet if the Estilo is without any initial problems and if everyone can digest the looks.

But I'm of the opinion is that Maruti should have never placed it alongside it's topseller, WagonR. Their strategy may be to eliminate their longtime foe, Santro from the scene.

Mods : The title of this thread needs to be changed to "The new Zen Estilo"
