Although Alto Xfun is dearer by Rs.8000, I think it only costs about Rs.2000/3000 more in the real sense since inorder to get even the body coloured bumper we've to shell out about Rs.3000. And also, it's having very nice seats and a sylish beige dashboard which is better than even WagonR/Santro.

So what do you think, is it value for money ?

What? A thread just to discuss this?

Yup, this version of Alto is best kept in the wacky mod jobs or bad car day!
One of the most disgusting special edition ever. Reminds me of the unholy days when Maruti brought out the Zen classic.

The sad part is, Our Janta still bought it.

A limited edition car with:
1) No tacho.
2) No alloys.
3) Poor graphics
4) yuck rims
5) No choice of a black colour (when they are trying to keep a sporty image in some places)

I already hate this version!

Errr... Wake up Raajiv. The Alto is the highest selling vehicle in India today... They don't need to do this to sell or to make money. It's just a celebration for them, that's all.

But celebration too is supposed to be decent, no? Why making a decent car look like a joker? I think its the most terrible celebration version of any car ever launched!

Yeis,Rightly said.Elf,yes i do agree to the fact that it is the highest selling car,but why make such a highest selling car to look bad. Also, whenever the company decides to celebrate, something must be special and i do not personally feel there is something special in this fun car apart from the regular ones.

Yes, a terrible Celebration version of Alto, though interiors looks cool, exterior with painted half-wheel cups & graphics suck! They could have atleast done the following: A 1000cc Zen engine, Alloy wheels or atleast Wheel Caps, rest what they've introduced in this Fun version.

the only thing justifying the high sales of Alto is the price factor today. Other than that, monopoly of maruti in that range. Given a choice without the money factor, ppl wud definately prefer the Santro or Swift or Getz. '

good to see Maruti is still trying out different styles with the Alto, keen on how their diesel engine performs in swift.

Alto is a good entry level car. The biggest favour Maruti can do to that car is to relaunch the VXI version of it. Even if it's in limited numbers, celebration or whatsoever!

The last thing we want is this X fun or XXX from this humble car. Nay, it's too young for X & XXX thingy!
