yes the half wheel caps are really very bad....interiors are good... price is 3- 3.5 L for the Lxi version...body coloured bumpers are an advantage....stickers are pathetic and the available colours too..

What were the MUL guys thinking when they decided on the graphics and coloured wheel caps. On top of it the colours offered arent so appealing

Well Its the 2nd time I bleive that a ltd edition of Alto has come out(First being the Anniversary edition)

I would like to see the quality of the new stuff & if its good then would love to have atleast the following things amongst others on My Alto:

- Chrome grille in front(Have been looking for it since long)
- Colour Bumpers(bumpers already have them so no issues)
- Silver(or is it beige?) center console(will need to check quality, didnt like it in some previous models)
- Silver Gear knob(again need to see)
- B-Pillar black masking(how would it look on A-pillar ??)

Ex-showroom Mumbai prices:

Alto XFUN Lx 289075
Alto XFUN Lxi 307602

These are around 8000 costlier than the normal versions.

Colored wheel-caps? I am not able to find the right word to curse the designer. Looking as if its a Premier Padmini being used as taxi and the driver has decorated wheelcaps by painting it with red-paint that he bought for 10 rupees! Shame!

No, its not. Indica Xeta's base version GV is still 20k costlier than Alto's base version i.e. LX. Xeta starts at 2,54,000 in Mumbai.

Yuck...!! What have they done to the Alto???!!! Looks like someone went on a rampage with a paintbrush painting weird looking graphics !!
Those wheelcups make the car look really sad... !! To celebrate an anniversary edition, they shud have provided wheelcaps, which wud make the car look smart anyday..!!

Alto is a gud car for those lookin at an entry segment car, and with its gud fuel efficiency (important when getting ur first car to many), was a definite winner. Wonder how the junta wud take to this crazy marketing gimmick now.

For a limited edition model, maruti should ahve atleast provided alloys instead of those cheap looking hub-caps!

The exterior upgrades - half wheel cap, stickering done looks cheap. Chrome grill, window mask and body color bumper looks cool...

Interiors also is fine.
Let me go and check myself in the showroom....

Be it cramped... or under powered engine, it still sells a lot...

'a lot' doesn't justify Alto's selling, Alto is the most selling car of India, around 20% of total car sales of India. Have a look.
