Mods: this may belong to the International Auto Scene but since there is a lot of india centric infor here, I thought I would post it in Indian car Scene. Please move it if u deem appropriate>

Wow Fiat actually has PLANS! On a serious note, thanks for the linky. Has some interesting stuff for India. It says the 1.9 JTD Euro 5 engine will be licenced to Suzuki. I know it's expecting the world but will the Baleno a few years down the line come with this engine? It says production of that engine will probably begin in Asia in 2010. And now it's from the horse's mouth that Grande Punto and Linea are India bound. Wish they made the engine options clear. I am still hoping the Grande Punto will come with the 1.9 JTD 120bhp 6 speed Manual transmission!

I wouldn't mind the 1.3 Multijet option either. The Linea will be a watch.

I still love the Palio. I wish it was lighter, faster and less thirsty. My neighbour has a Palio 1.2 He is very unhappy with Tata service (after they took over Fiat India)

Why not? It just needs to be Made in Japan :p and it will have all the qualities mentioned above.

Yowch! Don't tell me he preferred the TVS service of before. From my experience (3 visits so far), the TATA service is head and shoulders above TVS. Unless of course he has a new Palio bought from a TATA dealer, and he hasn't had the ummm... privilege of uhhh... basking in the TVS service experience. :-)
