I do not think any SUV is coming. It is going to be an Ertiga and Ertiga Cross Over, code named YHA and YHB. This is my understanding based on the information shared earlier in this forum/other forums.

| ![]() Oh yes I meant the crossover only, thanks for correcting. So if and when the crossover comes, it may come to Maruti if this version goes to Nexa, or vice versa. |

Arena will not get the bigger Maruti models, larger idea of NEXA is to give a premium experience to those paying top dollar for a Maruti. Arena will get the 7-seat version of Wagon R, and the new Ertiga and the YHB derivative based off it (tipped to become the flagship with unique styling and the largest dimensions for a Maruti) would sell under NEXA.

| ![]() So much of testing? IIRC it’s almost an year of testing if it’s launched in October. Is this long testing for 1.5 Diesel? |

| ![]() Now that the boot is reasonable with three rows of seats, I think Maruti should consider offering a cover similar to hatchback cars to hide the boot's contents. Current Ertiga's boot is not very visible from rear glass because of its small size, but looking at the rear photo above, it seems it is now easily visible from the rear glass. |

| ![]() Shapur Kotwal overall praises the new Ertiga for: 1. Styling 2. Increased Space 3. Compact (large hatch) feeling while driving 4. Interiors feel more luxurious. 5. Increased space in third row. 6. Engine with increased oomph. The new 1.5 engine is based on the current 1.4 and has similar characteristics with increased power and torque. So NVH is still an issue. Indian top models will get the smartplay infotainment system and electronic AC controls. I hope Maruti gives the option of black interiors and save us from that beige overdose!! I hope Maruti prices it sensibly and the sport version looks awesome with the grill and DRLs. IMO this will definitely snatch away some numbers from Innova.
