This is interesting and looks like a departure from the current design language. Looks like there are prominent fenders (like duster?) and a step in the window line like in Honda B-RV.

This is traditional Hyundai!! The drop window at the rear is so horribly wrong.

Looks nothing like the spy shots, especially the e2o - like window kink. Probably released just to generate buzz.

Hyundai has launched an name suggestion contest called "Hyundai Naamkaran" for the upcoming AH2.

Pasting the link to participate in the contest.

There is indeed a small kink on the rear window. My wife who isn't a car nut noticed it when she had gone for the preview.

Was the complete car revealed during the preview? Any snaps (I guess it may not be possible :( )

Exterior didn't have any camo but covered up with the badges. Interior plastic had a rough finish (which according to them wasn't the final production finish). My full report was updated here:

Name suggestions for Hyundai's new tall boy hatch have to be in English, and individuals can send in their entries via the official website (www.HyundaiNaamkaran.com) or via SMS or WhatsApp (text your entry: 'XYZ') to 8652000377, 8652000388 or 8652000399. There is no limit to the number of entries from an individual. At the end of the campaign, Hyundai will shortlist the most popular names entered into the contest; from this set of people, the carmaker will pick one lucky winner who will get to drive home the base variant of the AH2 hatchback.

It is expected that the new small car will be called the Santro, albeit with a suffix. The Santro is the car that established Hyundai in India and, even today, the name enjoys strong brand equity and recall.

Just read it. And after seeing the newer spy shots, I feel it really isn't as pronounced as shown in the image.

What's the bet that Hyundai won't have some crazily innovative name but stick to something like Santro 'Neo' or Hyundai Santro 'N'.

Interesting idea! Though one wonders how apt a name can one come up with without looking at the car..

The best way out for them is to rename the car as the Santro Grand. The brand equity of the Santro is retained and its more or less a new name too. They have done it for the i 10.

The Santro was catching up sales wise, in the Mumbai taxi market just before it was culled. The overall All India sales figures though dwindled by the time it was rested. Its successor the i 10 could have been named as the Santro with a prefix or suffix, to retain the model name that brought HMIL its desired glory in India.

The hatch has been spied again,
