You're talking about Petrol engines. Petrol engines in SUVs sport impressive figures but the Diesels do the work with less HP rating.

I never liked the tail lamps on the Endeavour, and this one's no different.
Interiors do look a lot better over the previous version though.

That means the 4*2 LTD & 4*4 will cost around 17-odd Lacs on-road Delhi whereas the 4*2 will cost around 16.25L.

Now lets wait for Maruti and see what they have up their sleeve, if they can get in a diesel grand vitara at less than 14 Lacs we can see some exciting battle in this category too.

It would be a nice time for someone to give a test drive opinion. The truck looks interesting.

There is another thread floating around - a very short test drive though as the vehicle was unregistered.

Even though the earlier rear suspension design of the archaic leaf-springs have been retained, the new powerplant ought to spice things up a bit...143 bhp & 33 Kgm...first of it's kind to offer this. Below 20 lacs, that is. The first CRDi to sport similar specs was the Terracan, which was W-A-Y overpriced....

Now, we need a detailed comparo between the DICOR & the TDCi....the battle of the titans....looking forward to this one...

exactly, now i am very curious about GV's pricing. Less than 2ltr, 5 seater, smaller size and should be surely less than Ford's. Any guessing by anyone? I guess it will be on road 14.5lakhs.

Doubt it as it is a CBU (Ford i believe does local assembly).. Though i dont disagree on the price! You forgot the most important factor - expensive Petrol vs. most favoured Diesel

Very simple actually Atul -

PRICE - Dicor
BUILD QUALITY - TDCi
POWER & TORQUE (STOCK) - TDCi
REFINEMENT - TDCi
RIDE COMFORT - Dicor

.......now, what am I missing out?

That pretty much covers it up Sumanji.... but then, the real duel would be when the 2.2 is launched....VFM could tilt all scales in favour of the mighty Tata...

As for the Endy, my grouse is still not lie with the rear live axle. One can live with that. That rear seat is pathetic in terms of comfort....and let's not go to the third row...

They are soon coming with a limited edition of the face lifted Ford Endeavour. I snapped one car brought down for ARAI testing:

The Limited Edition was mentioned in Car & Bike show. it has side claddings which the others (4x2 and 4x4) miss and priced between the both.
