Wont they ? The Safari with the old diesel engine (non Dicor) did not do too badly.

I feel the original was overpriced, it was only due to lack of competition at that price level that Tata continued to charge a heft premium.

When the Scorpio started eroding into Safari sales Tata were able to make significant price cuts to the Safari (at a time when steel prices were relatively high).

As for lotta car, the early examples my relatives bought were far from what I would call lotta car for money. The car was slow, it lacked refinement and interior wise it was no eye catcher. Rather like the Endeavour one of the relatives upgraded to.

Its not just the engine but also the interiors that endeavour needs some freshening up.

Apart from the engine, there doesn't seem to be much changes. The interiors, which was one big let down, looks the same. Pity.

Gears,

Well, well, well....about time! So hopefully in India by Q3 of 2007.

I'm surprised there are no other changes, I'd have thought they'd do something to the suspension to improve the rear seat ride quality
