Maruti Dzire recalled for faulty rear wheel hub

Maruti Suzuki India Limited is undertaking a Service Campaign for new Dzire to inspect for a possible fault in the rear wheel hub.

Around 21,494 new DZIRE vehicles manufactured between 23rd February and 10th July 2017 will be covered in this campaign.

Started on 3rd October 2017, owners of the vehicles included in this service campaign will be contacted by dealers for inspection and replacement of the faulty part.

Service Campaigns are undertaken globally by automobile companies to rectify faults that may potentially cause inconvenience to customers.

The inspection and replacement will be done free of cost for the customer.

Customers of new DZIRE are requested to fill in the chassis number (MA3 followed by 14 digit alpha-numeric number) on the computer screen. The chassis number is embossed on the vehicle ID plate and is also in the vehicle invoice/registration documents.

Click the following link to check if your new DZIRE is included in the vehicles that may need attention: https://www.marutisuzuki.com/servicecampaign.aspx

PS: The above information is posted in the beta version of Maruti Suzuki's new website.

Its a silent recall for rear wheel bearing replacement of all new Dezire cars. It was unofficially confirmed by a friend who is placed with the MASS.

All new Dezire cars that are either delivered to the customers or at the dealer stockyard are a part of this campaign. The reason for the same is claimed to be some whining noise experienced by the owners of these cars.

Regards.
