Which explains the on-road testing since December 2017. If Hyundai was to carry the same engines, the extensive testing wouldn't make any sense.

Any rumours about changes to the 1.6 petrol?

Thanks to the Team-BHP fan (he prefers to remain anonymous) who sent this image in. Heartfelt gratitude for sharing it with other enthusiasts via this page!

The upcoming Hyundai Creta facelift has been spotted completely undisguised in India. The compact SUV was snapped during a TV commercial shoot, which suggests that the launch might be just around the corner.

According to the latest spy image, the Creta facelift will get a new hexagonal grille with a chrome frame flanked by a set of new sweptback headlamps featuring projector lamps and LED DRLs. The front bumper has been redesigned and now gets silver insert around the air dam. Fog lamps are placed in separate housings on either side of the air dam. This particular vehicle has a dual-tone exterior with white bodywork and a black roof. It also has body-coloured ORVM housings with integrated turn signals.

According to previous spy images, the Creta facelift is likely to get an optional sunroof and dual-tone alloy wheels. While the interiors of the Creta facelift are expected to be similar to the outgoing model, Hyundai might add an updated touchscreen infotainment system to the package.

Similarly, Hyundai is likely to offer the current set of engines on the updated model. The current-gen Creta comes with a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes 123 BHP and 151 Nm of torque and there are two diesel engine options to choose from - an 89 BHP 1.4-litre and a 126 BHP 1.6-litre engine which could be offered with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.

The front looks more Fortuner-ish to my eyes. Not as macho ofcourse but sweptback projector lamps and silver housing for the lower bumper and fog lamps bear a resemblance.

Exactly my thoughts looks like a mini Fortuner - which is a good thing. Will help it again build on numbers. A 4X4 would take away share from the Compass as well, but that won't happen.

Spotted 2 test vehicles in white and red at Chennai beach road. The alloys look like those of the Brazilian creta. Could only manage this pic - sorry for the bad quality.

re: Hyundai Creta Facelift starts testing in India EDIT: Launched at Rs. 9.43 lakhs

Rumour: Hyundai Creta facelift coming up in May

Hyundai is likely to launch the Creta facelift around last week of May 2018, while production is set to commence in the third week of the next month.

Earlier this month, the Creta facelift was spotted completely undisguised during a TV commercial shoot. The compact SUV gets an updated front grille and new headlamps with integrated LED DRLs. The front bumper has silver trim along the air dam and fog lamp pods on either side.

Like the current generation Creta, the new model is also expected to be offered with dual-tone bodywork and alloy wheels. Spy images suggest that a sunroof might also be offered as an option. On the inside, the Creta facelift is expected to get a similar dashboard as the current model, however it might feature an updated infotainment system.

At present, Hyundai offers one petrol and two diesel engine options on the Creta. The same engines are likely to be carried over on to the facelift version. These include a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder petrol unit with 123 BHP and 151 Nm, 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder diesel with 89 BHP and a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder diesel with 126 BHP of peak output. Transmission options might include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.

Does anyone have a confirmed spec list for this facelift? am eagerly awaiting this launch.

Hope they fix the braking/clutch issues and add the key missing features highlighted on this forum.

re: Hyundai Creta Facelift starts testing in India EDIT: Launched at Rs. 9.43 lakhs

Today I got a change to speak with S.A. about the new Hyundai Creta and he confirmed the following based on the training that they undertook
a) Most of the changes are in top-end version (incl. Sun Roof) in top model . He did not clarify if there are new versions coming up.
b) External changes would include new front grill, DRLs and projectors
c) Internally, driver side elbow rest would now be movable, touch screen would be IPS screen with better touch and MID would have DTE, Average Fuel Consumption etc.
d) 2 new colour options ( shade of Blue and Orange I heard)

In terms of engine, there is no change in the power figures or engine size or fuel options.

So, no Cruise Control this time too?

Hyundai will miss a trick here if they do not give the automatic in top spec.

Also hope they have sorted the brake issues?

The above video does say about Auto Pilot mode at 2:43. Unsure whether this will be available in India or not. Have been hearing from Hyundai guys that Cruise control will indeed be offered in top-spec. Let's wait for a few more days to know the truth.

I asked him today and he said Cruise Control is also there
Taking his words with a dash of hope that he is 90% true to his words.

Hyundai need to sort out the braking issue and add paddle shifters to the automatic variant. That would be ideal and more important than a cruise control IMO.
