That is a very good news. I bought Palio 1.6 fearing that Fiat might discontinue it. But good that Fiat is thinking otherwise. It is too good of a car to be taken off the road...three cheers to Fiat...........

They wouldnt tell if it would come in new avatar tho. I am only hoping we get this stonking motor in the same model which is sold in South America right now.
Now that is some GOOD news. The spirit of the Palio lives on...

Happy news, it would have been very unfair to a fabulous engine to be taken off the indian roads.

Got a call from Fortune Cars Mumbai

Got call from Fortune Cares Mumbai that Palio 1.6 Sport will be available from Jan 15th onward.(Had enquired earlier for 1.6 when discounts were on, but stock got over). Colours other than Red & Yellow also will be available. Can some one confirm this or they are trying to sell old stock?

If they are saying that colours other than canary yellow and red would be available, its gotto be the new stock.
That is good news indeed. The "Spirito Di Palio" lives on.I hope Fiat and Tata jointly make an effort to make this beauty click with the masses this time around. Its an uphill task undoubtedly.

Don't much care for the rear of the new Palio - prefer the current one. The new Sienna / Petra doesn't look too bad, just that it looks like it's on stilts...

How about a 1.9D Multijet with 140/150 BHP to go with it, boy I am dreaming already. The color combination and the presence are fabulous.

Sounds great , but even the lower state of tune will be welcome in 90 /100 bhp guise . If it happens this may rewrite Indians ' dislike for stationwagon ' belief !

It looks more SUV than a wagon to me, may be some kind of a cross over between wagon and SUV..

hey

i think even if they manage to launch this beauty, it will be a 1.6 100bhp petrol alone. unless they decide to launch the diesel as well via their FIAT only dealers. whatever it is, a price of 6-7 is really tempting for this monster!
