Isuzu is gearing up to launch the 2018 D-Max V-Cross facelift next month. The updated D-Max pickup will be available in two variants - V-Cross and V-Cross High priced at Rs. 14,27,344 and Rs. 15,77,344 (ex-showroom, Andhra Pradesh) respectively. We have also learned that Isuzu dealerships have started accepting bookings for the vehicles.

The refreshed D-Max gets a slightly revised exterior as well as new standard features. Isuzu has carried over the same front fascia with its large chrome grille and sweptback projector headlamps. Side steps and a rear view camera are offered as standard, while the V-Cross High variant gets LED DRLs, LED tail lamps and a chrome rear bumper. The rear tailgate has also been redesigned and gets a chrome handle.

Inside, the V-Cross High comes with 6-way power adjustable driver seat, black leather upholstery, multi-functional steering wheel with cruise control, electronic stability control and traction control. An audio head unit, which appears to have a touchscreen, is available on both variants.

Mechanically, the D-Max facelift is expected to be identical to the outgoing model. The 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine delivers 134 BHP @ 3,600 rpm and 320 Nm of torque @ 1,800-2,800 rpm and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It is also equipped with four-wheel drive.

Isuzu is expected to officially announce the D-Max facelift in the coming weeks.

I am not seeing the road tax component in the on-road price listed above?

Buyers from AP (the dealership in the OP is based in Hyderabad) are exempted from paying road tax for cars manufactured in AP. Isuzu is one among them. Kia would be the next.

Hyderabad is not part of AP now. Jhabakh auto pvt ltd (3rd picture bottom) has dealership in Hyderabad (Telangana) under Mahavir Isuzu. But they also have dealerships in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry which are in AP. So these must be from one of these 3 locations.

Missed opportunity to launch the engine from the MuX but stability control is a great addition in this truck of a car.

Wow, those are some really welcome upgrades! What's more, even with the extras, it's still a well-priced truck.

In a market as competitive as today's, a 'facelift' cannot be merely a 'facelift' anymore (i.e. new lights & grille). I would term these as 'serious upgrades' instead of just a facelift. Even with the new EcoSport, look at all that Ford got - new engine, new AT, new interiors, touchscreen ICE etc.

Good job, Isuzu. Now go deliver the first piece of the facelifted truck to this customer.

17 lakhs for the base model and 19 lakhs for the high model on road prices seem a far stretched hikes with such basic upgrades. Better upgrade would have been a auto variant.

Before anything Isuzu should plan for expanding their dealer network. There is no point in upgrading cars, bringing new models unless you plan to sell and service them. Almost 2 years in market and Karnataka has just 1 dealer. With 5K service interval, not many would want to travel 300KM+ just to get the car washed!

Good Upgrades. Much more than a facelift. It is very much welcome, yet something more on the Engine (Power) and gearbox (AT) front would have made me actually go for it.

Service interval too needs to be 10-15K. With 5K I would be going every other month for service.

It's BIG but with a small heart (Engine).

The image seems to indicate a Rs. 1.85 lakh discount on the MUX! I think Isuzu should do a serious price cut on the MUX of around 5 lakhs or so and then it can be a hot seller like DAMX was when it was launched, due to compelling pricing.

Another missed opportunity me says is the introduction of an automatic. 2 WD with auto tranny will be a good product placement.

re: Scoop! Isuzu V-Cross facelift coming up. EDIT: Now launched

Some very good upgrades and some of them are worthless!

-ESP is a welcome addition, Traction Control(Active type) more so considering rear diff lock was deleted for India. Car could have done with more Airbags.

-Fog lamps have been replaced with DRL's. Foglamps were helpful up here in North. Overall headlamps are weak, mainly due to poor quality bulbs(Easy fix).

-Cruise control is a good addition, I am planning to retrofit the same with imported kit.

-Chrome Bumper might look good but is a bad design(Same as the old one), comes off on day 1 of offroading. Also no tow/recovery point on a car sold as lifestyle 4x4

-The footsteps look much better than old ones sold as accessory, but on a such long wheelbase vehicle they create problems with clearance.

-Headunit and Camera are good addition.

2.5 Liter engine is a weak point, feels underpowered. Although its an easy fix with a remap. Also buyers spending this much also expect Automatic Transmission at this price point.

Also, localisation is poor quality, this is not a true blue Jap quality truck.

wow, now this is something i did not know about.
Can I buy a car in this state, and transfer in delhi by paying NOC charges.

It will still be lower than the road tax amount I need to pay in Delhi.

It doesn't work that way.
Even if you purchase it in AP, you will have to pay road tax in NCR on top of transfer fees, which won't make any sense.
What you can do is, register in AP, and drive it in NCR with an AP plate.
