When it is already in production and out and given for press drives, I don't see whey they should actually make the effort to plonk a regular body for calibrating a Trail Hawk.

Not that the looks of the Trail Hawk are a secret after a global press event.

I do not think that we have seen a single Trailhawk testing in India. I am guessing the entire gearbox and all the hardware has been tested with the regular Compass prototypes in India.

This prototype could well be one of the test vehicles which were already on the roads much before they started to produce the Trailhawk.

There are many more like this. I have seen and stopped by another prototype in Bangalore. This vehicle is testing from the Bosch fecility on Hosur road. The driver was tight lipped on what they were testing. Not sure what Bosch manufactures for the Compass?

Great news. I would hold off my purchase by a good six months just to check if the ZF Auto develops any issues. This has been one of Jeep's biggest issue over the years.

Have not heard of any issues atleast on the exported Compass but I would wait to check it out. After all it is a SUV I would retain for around 6/7 years.

Great News! I checked many of the reviews of Australian compass Trailhawk and they all said ZF 9 speed auto runs smooth albeit a bit slow in upshifts!
I test drove Compass 4x4 manual and really liked it, only thing missing was automatic!
KHT dealership confirmed that compass Trailhawk will come with sun roof as well! I took the plunge and paid the booking amount today! Car is expected by July

Acelerar, congrats! Any indicator of the on road price of the trailhawk from the dealer at the time of your booking? Also, when is a TD vehicle going to be available? I'm keen on the compass trailhawk too, but early indications of on road price vary hugely on different forums. I'm located in Bangalore as well. TIA.

Thanks Uthappa. Dealer was not able to quote firm expected price but he mentioned that it should be around 24-25 lakhs ex show room price. I am guessing that it should be around that and anything significantly higher would take it close to endeavour/fortuner prices!
He mentioned that initial batch that he would get is around 30 cars and it should be by July end.

I read somewhere, I think Autocar news, they are speculating Rs 2.5L above 4X4 limited(O) which makes it Rs 24.4L (21.9+2.5), so yes, your dealer's estimate seems to be right between 24 and 25 lakhs.

Jeep Compass Trailhawk India to launch soon - shown to select audience, will come with an automatic gearbox.

This new trim will be launched in the nation sometime later this year. We have pictures of the same from a private screening for potential customers and dealers

Diesel automatic I think will only be on the trailhawk unless they launch the diesel automatic simultaneously.

Petrol automatic is already available.
