No point contemplating on the price of the Trailhawk. It totally depends on FCA. If they want a Halo product then expect it to be around 32-33 lakhs OTR Bangalore. If they really want the Trailhawks to be seen on our roads, maybe 30 lakhs OTR will be most welcome.

Will all the Trailhawk interiors come with the Red accents on the Speedo/gear console or is it matched with the exterior colour of the SUV?

Only the blue looks to be a Trailhawk. Other versions will be receiving 4*4 treatment too? The red seems to be a Longitude version.

Exactly - only the blue one is the Trailhawk.
And it looks like it's sans sunroof.
Can your friend confirm whether there was a sunroof in sight?

Nope, no sunroof on any of these cars.

Neither on the 4x4s nor even on the Trailhawk.

While I'm not among those who've booked or even inquired at a dealership, fwiw, here's an educated guess from a very interested party:

2.0 Limited (O) 4x4 ex-showroom is about 22L.
Add 1.25l for 9sp auto (Only transmission the Trailhawk comes with in most markets)
And since Trailhawk is the highest variant in most markets other than the USA and likely to be positioned as such here too:
Add 1.25l for panoramic sunroof
Add about 1l for 8.4in UConnect, few other features and Trailhawk differentiators (fake low range, bumpers etc)

And you get 25.5l ex-showroom.

If we are very lucky, Trailhawk+Panoramic Sunroof+8.4in UConnect will be obtainable for 10l below the Endeavour, on road, whichever state we're in.

But somehow, I don't think so.

In the US and Australia the trailhawk is speced lower than the limited version. I wouldn't be surprised if some goodies in the limited version do not find its way into the Indian trailhawk.

Lovely pics RavenAvi. Thanks.
The Blue Trailhawk doesn't seem to have the ribbed roof like the others there and that could be because there is a sunroof there?

Or perhaps it's my imagination that it's a sunroof.

Cheers,
Uday

re: The Jeep Compass Trailhawk. EDIT: Launched @ 26.8 lakhs

The Autocar India review of the Australian version of the Trailhawk was nothing to rave about and they have mentioned that the gear shifts are quite slow with the car struggling specially at low speeds. At the price point this car is positioned to compete, I doubt if buyers would appreciate an iffy gear box unless they are smitten by the Jeep brand.

Is the Indian version going to have the same specs in terms of engine and transmission as the Australian model?

re: The Jeep Compass Trailhawk. EDIT: Launched @ 26.8 lakhs

I had pre-booked Compass trailhawk in April with expected launch in July. Unfortunately, it wont be coming until year end or beginning of 2019 and hence I have requested for the refund.
The SA confirmed that Jeep is soon launching diesel limited + variant with powered seat and sun roof but it will continue with manual shift.

Unless the company officially announces bookings for a particular model, these acceptance of so called "Pre-Booking" by dealers sans any official announcement from the company is pretty much interest free loans to the dealer.
