This is a very strange product placement from Kia. They use tag line "premium for value" but does not provide premium to the customers who may want and pay for premium features.

This is a failure on their part already. First harrier with a ill cooked product and no Automatic and now Kia with a strange placement defy logic. People looking for premium look elsewhere and so will I.

I think this story says its a "tentative" list. Even I am not finding this to be 100 percent accurate.

Kia must officially give out all these details asap and start bookings too.

Hector already has got the first mover advantage and I dont think the Tiger Shroff ads are helping the new brand one bit.

Completely agree with this assessment. A new brand needs a well known face or a leading personality to help them succeed in a new market. The first time I saw Jackie Shroff's son in the Ad, I wondered for a bit - who advises these big companies with deep pockets to go for small time actors, who are arguably failures, as their brand ambassadors? I mean, why not Varun Dhawan (if they wanted to connect with the new generation) or Aamir/Salman/Shahrukh Khan or Virat Kohli?

Are there other manufacturers that skips on the top variant for A/T other than Hyundai and now possibly Kia?

When someone is willing to spend say close to 18-20L, what difference would it make to spend another lakh or may be a little more for added features like say 6 airbags in Hyundai or these convenience/premium features in Kia?

It doesn't make any sense. When we bought a Creta, we had to skip the A/T because the 6 airbags option wasn't there, not that we wanted the manual in the top end and not the A/T.

I think Ford does it. Ecosport which comes with sunroof and couple of other features is not available with an AT. I think even Swift (probably Baleno as well) did not come with the fully loaded automatic/AMT at the launch but Maruti added them eventually.

It's just a Tiger-Tiger connection else i don't find anything intriguing in Tiger Shroff as brand ambassador of Kia. They should have better roped in a sports player to align with their superior offering i.e GT Line.

The back looks a lot like the XUV300 and even a little like i20.

All in all the height seems a bit lacking.

Because, people here want the most capable machine with premium features. A DCT with all the premium features makes sense for most of us.

I did not see any difference in features between the HTX+ and the GTX+. I am not sure we can call DCT as "premium" over TC as both are proper automatics and serve different purpose. Also, my context is that we have been wanting a top end Diesel Auto in Creta for a long time. At least that seems to have been addressed.
