Bhpians please help me out,

I'm planning to buy a new automatic car either seltos htx 1.5 petrol ivt or compass longitude option petrol ddct. Price difference is about 5 lakhs. Kindly help me figure out the worth of the connected features of kia vs the driving pleasure of compass.

Majority use would be in city.

Please discuss the pros and cons of each car over the other car.

The reviews on youtube showed a headsup display but i dont see it in the brochure. Did it not make it to the market?

Trying to convince wife to keep the higher end GTX+ as our booking and just shell out a few lakhs over our budget and now I hear the wonderful news that you cannot book the GTX+ in dual tone shade and only the lower GTX model.

Buying a new KIA has been one of the worst buying experiences of my life.

• No Test Drive
• Average Build quality
• Unresponsive dealers
• Confused Variant List (can never have a perfect model)
• No Dual Tone shade in Top Model
• As someone who is buying top model I have to wait extra 3 months, after already waiting 1-2 months since booking.

I was into the Kia webiste car configuration list and there was no evidence of a GTX+ automatic. I went through more tabs and got revealed that GTX+ varients have 3 engine options and the sources were actually accurate.



As you can see, I selected the GTX+ tab and the varients show three engine option's. Yes, Diesel varient will come with 6 airbags very soon. Personally I am only interested in the Petrol Automatic.

Just to show the slides are not mistake, here I have selected GTX trim and it shows that only two engine options are available.



So here you go! Kia website itself has confirmed two new varients.

The touchscreen/MID Unit looks hideous to say the least. And of course the steel wheels would be an eye sore as well. Atleast we can upgrade the wheels to alloys, but would have to live with the MID Unit.

HUD only available on GTX and GTX+. Not there on HT models

Never seen so many grown ups crying in unison over a new product by a new company whose not even one vehicle is on road yet. Every company offers products in trims that it feels are best suited to its bottomline, and no amount of cribbing and complaining is going to change that.

Sick of opening this thread to see yet another sad-hurt-shocked story of how the company is not launching their preferred combo or at their preferred price. We get it, you want top of the top version with airbags, parachutes and whatnot. Too bad it is not there. Lucky we are no longer in the 80s with only two three car manufacturers. There is a plethora of proven alternatives for you to buy. Stop hogging this thread with feelings and let there be some discussion about EXISTING engines and variants.

Mods, sorry for this rant but there is only so many hurt posts one can take. This reminds me of RE limited edition crybabies thread where the 500cc limited edition was launched in 300cc normal edition guise.

Well I'm now a confused mess after the launch. I went ahead and pre-booked the Seltos GTX+ and when they finally launched it it fell way out of my price band and now I'm contemplating the HTX IVT with the 1.5 NA petrol. I don't know how the CVT is going to be. Now I'm actually considering cancelling and going for the Creta 1.6 petrol auto with the TC. But the home minister is smitten by the blinking LED's, air purifier and the shebang. Don't know what to buy at this moment and with my budget I seem to be in a no man's land. One thing I can say is Kia did not take a leaf out of Hyundai's book by throwing in a sunroof in the HTX auto like in Creta SX Auto.

Yes, it is downright ugly. This seems a concious strategy to keep buyers away from the base version. Also, the media unit seems fused into the plastic and not removable? Must be intentional to prevent people from swapping it for after market units.

This alone is making me want to switch to the Nissan Kicks XE Diesel base variant. Although there is no touchscreen there either, at lease the unit does not look so ugly and ungainly.

Trust Hypersonic to come up with a 'jugaad' for this. If they managed a Carplay and Android Auto touchscreen for the Nexon XM models, they can pretty much do anything

Was shuttled from person to person without any answers. Automatic TD not available today.

While I agree with you for some extent, what is probably confusing many people (I am talking about people who have booked/interested in) is the various combinations that this SUV is available in. Even after multiple visits to showrooms or using their online configurator, it is getting difficult for them to finalize on a variant. It is also not helping that even the SA's are not completely aware themselves. Shows that the company themselves are confused to some extent.

I had to call the dealer to process the cancellation. I had done the booking online too.
