I have test driven a Honda City CVT long back & now own a Seltos IVT. I found that the rubber band effect was more pronounced in Honda City. In Seltos, there was no such effect & the power delivery is very linear with no lag

With the buyback of the stock tires, I paid about 35k for the Michelin Primacy 4ST 235/55/17.

I have to say the ride quality has improved quite a bit and it is noticeable even with the limited driving I've had on the factory tires.
