I wont touch Duster with a barge pole. Its interior is completely bland with all gadgetry missing. Few months ago I was interested in upgrading and had a detailed comparison with Ecosport AT. Features duster is missing are :

1) No ESP, TCS or Hill Hold Control

2) No Cruise Control
3) No Keyless Entry or Keyless Start
4) Manual AC Control
5) Only Tilt Steering Adjustment
6) No Rear Parking Sensor or Camera

And ofcourse the lower engine power. There are 10's of other features which are missing. And these are not gimmicky features personally for me. I dont want a box on wheels which is what a Duster is to me.

Guys any information on location of showrooms located near Mumbai ?

Right next to BMW Navnit in Juhu Galli a Kia showroom is almost ready.

The rear looks very much like the previous generation Toyota RAV4 (2013-2018). The missing part is the chrome strip between the lights.

The Duster is aptly priced for the segment but it's a bit outdated w.r.t it's looks. The buyer is always looking for something refreshing, unique.

That's why the Hector has garnered such a response. And that's what Kia aims to do. Pricing will be the key. One misstep and Seltos will crash even before it takes off.

Seltos might be priced higher than the Duster , but Kia officials maintain that the pricing will be a surprise ( hopefully in a good way, especially after the Hector launch).

The hector is priced well for its positioning, it being the biggest car in the bracket.

Creta is overpriced to the core. Everyone knows it. Crowds still make a beeline for it. That's how the market works.
If Kia gets everything right, alongwith the hector, it can bring a big downlslide in Creta numbers.

I'm eagerly waiting for the pricing as well. Otherwise I'll just finalize and go with the S Cross as a replacement for my Punto 1.4.

Just saw Kia motors showroom coming up near Singasandra, Hosur road.
Showroom seems smaller compared to Hyundai showroom at Kudlu Gate, Hosur road.

Looks like their strategy of smaller showrooms, given that they are starting off only with Seltos. My wife saw one near Hoodi, Whitefield and she also said it didnt appear very large, definitely smaller than the Trident / Advaith showrooms in ORR.

I spoke to JSP Kia, who own the Kia Hosur Road and ORR (Kadubeesanahalli) showrooms, and they were confident of display vehicles being available between 15-20th of this month. They claimed the ORR showroom will be ready by end of this week, not sure of the status of the Hosur Road one. They were accepting pre-bookings at INR 25k

Even I received the call today and their showroom near the Kadubeesanahalli is opening on Monday 15th July. Even this showroom looks bit smaller.

Any website or contact for the J P Nagar Naara Kia? I want to book the car there as it is nearer to my house.

Seems they just copied Autocar India web story and sent it on Whatsapp. How innovative!

Finally. I'm not really mad, I can do better off with HTX+ 6 speed auto. Never owned a diesel car personally.

There is a sunroof here. And the alloys are the other one. I was thinking the top two variants of all engine options will get the nice looking alloys over this one. But, I guess the Techline will get this alloy and the GT line will get the other nice looking alloys, both alloys being 17". Or Kia must have mixed everything up in these cars. Hopefully the official variant list will be out within a week and will end all our confusions.

Those red colored highlights on the bumper and the sides gives the car a very sporty looks. Shades of black and the grey are for sure a head turner.
Is this only on GT variants?

On a quick look, the front nose and the grill could be easily confused with a Peugeot 3008. Luckily for Kia, 3008 is not around. lol:

I think diesel varients get the grey alloys and the petrol variants get good looking alloys. :deadhorse
I hope the dealers make an option for the diesel owners. This somewhat reminds me of Honda Amaze Petrol and Diesel getting different alloys.
The alloys on the petrol looks more expensive! The alloys on the diesel has some sophisticated look to it.

HTK is not mentioned anywhere, what could be the reason? It is same in the news sites as well.
