The Kia Seltos SUV (SP Concept). EDIT : Launched at Rs. 9.69 lakhs

I had a quick chat with a SA at the Kia dealership in MG Road, Gurgaon today. The SA mentioned that the Seltos will have a rather sweet 10-16.5 L introductory price. The GT Line with DCT won't be available in the top spec so it will most likely loose out on some niceties like a sunroof and ventilated seats, quite a usual weird 'Hyundai thingy' of not selling the top spec variant with an auto box.

The display cars would arrive on 24th July and he mentioned that the base variant could enjoy a sub-10 L ex-showroom figure. Looks like Kia is really betting it big with the Seltos in India. An aggressive launch price could literally kill some of it's rivals.

No pics of the Seltos, however attaching some pics of the Stinger GT and Niro Hybrid on display.

The Mumbai list is really incomplete. There is no chance there will be just 1 dealership at Thane. I know of atleast 1 more dealership, at Chandivali in the premises of erstwhile Kavish Ford. I just hope they survive unlike previous 2 occupants of that same premises viz Kavish Ford and Senator Skoda.

Just spotted the Seltos this afternoon. Was a orangish brown shade. Was driving so didn't get a complete look, saw only the rear end. Quite a looker for sure.

The only strange thing I observed was there was significant vertical movement at stand still. Similar to what the Volvo buses do, where the entry is hydraulically lowered for ingress. It's either that or the car has significant nose dive.

The car was at stand still and there might be a chance the driver was playing around

No bashing of variant or the engine on the tailgate as far as I could see

Hearing from a source in Mumbai that the official launch date will be August 22nd, 2019, and that the Seltos range might be offered with an introductory starting price of Rs 9.69 lakhs, ex-showroom.

The last image shows that the car is a GT variant and it does not have a 10.25 inch touch screen as well ( and it is an automatic) well this is another bummer. Does this mean that the GT line does not have a larger touch screen too ? If that is the case, this is really dissapointing.

I also noticed the same, but there is no red stripe nor their is no GT badging in the front grill. It's really bad if they don't give the bigger screen. I have a doubt whether the 10.25" is exclusively offered only with the 8 speaker bose unit. Let us wait. Hopefully they will officially publish all the variant/ feature list by 16th.

Look at the bottom of the steering it shows gt written in red and this shows it is a gt variant with automatic transmission ( 8000 rpm limiter)

This is the base petrol model, doesn't even have a sunroof nor front parking sensors. The first two photos are old, those cars were used during the unviel and were a mix bag of varients and not production models. Last set of photos are the current. The red finishing might be given before delivering, not really sure if they are decals used in GT- lines or its painted in the factory.

The base petrol will not be offered with an automatic . Per the speculation , automatic gt will not be offered with a sunroof.
