Staying with EVs, Renault showcased its Trezor 2-seater electric coupe concept. As you can see, it hasn't got conventional doors. Instead, the top opens up like a clam shell:

The entire top opening up for Trezor 2-seater electric coupe concept is one hell of a snazzy and unique idea. Just bowled over!! Wish there could be a production car like that!!

Nothing exciting from Renault (and I had the same thing to say about Hyundai too). Trezzor is an amazing concept but unfortunately of no relevance to the Indian market. Same can be said about the Zoe concept too.

Missed opportunity to debut the next generation Duster in India? I certainly think. However - can also understand why Renault wouldn't have done that because they would want the Captur to take center stage and not divert attention so soon after the launch. Wake up call Renault - please have a look at the initial sales figures.

Any other products expected from Renault for the next two years?

- the Megane sedan as a possible Fluence replacement,
- (maybe) the Sandero Stepway as a possible Brezza/EcoSport/Nexon rival,
- a Kwid-based compact SUV to challenge the likes of the KUV100,
- a Kwid-based compact 7-seater MPV, &
- a compact sedan too, in the DZire/XCent/Amaze space.

In addition, here will be more Kwid variants/special editions on the line as well.

Maybe the introduction of a few EVs come 2020 & BS-VI guidelines.

In short, I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon.

Megane sedan is a beautiful car and I hope they launch it in India. With the arrival of the Civic once again - the market might (slim chances) pick up some steam.

Not sure if any of these would make it to the market before the next expo. Anyways, fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

On day 2 of the Expo, Renault had put up the Duster, Lodgy and few more sticker editions of the Kwid at the stall. I asked why the Duster/Lodgy were not there day before and the Renault person mentioned that "yesterday was for media and today dealers will also be coming "

No words to express the beauty of red interiors on Kwid, it looks ready for slaughter. A combination of red-colored rear wiper and roof rails with some red accents on the steering wheel would have added more character to the Duster.

The Trezor concept is amazing to pull the crowd at Auto Expo kind of events, that's it. It doesn't have any relevance to the real-world final product. Zoe concept looks good.

Captur with the blue checkered pattern on the roof, Kwid superhero edition, red & black edition of Duster, some more stickers on Kwid and ugly-looking Lodgy, that's it. My local friend at "Mahakali Radium Art" is more creative with the stickering job than these.
