| ![]() If that is indeed the price, then this vehicle is surely overpriced. I don't think its in the same league as the City to command this much moolah. |

| ![]() Yaaris will be the first in the segment to offer 7 airbags and all 4 disc brakes. I did extensive research a few months earlier, and the cheapest car that offers these together is a Mahindra XUV W10, which is Rs. 21 Lakhs OTR. Obviously that is not a comparison. But I am glad that Toyota caught this huge gap in the market of customers like me who value safety over anything else. With the right pricing it will appeal to a broad segment of safety conscious customers |

| ![]() http://motoroctane.com/news/97996-to...is-sedan-india Whoa! 7 Airbags across ALL variants?! If this is true, it is unheard of in the Indian market. Toyota might just get away with that expected premium pricing of 12-15 lakhs OTR. Glad to see Airbags becoming standard fare day by day. |

It would be a splendid effort if it actually is true. I haven't had good experience with Motoroctane articles as they have turned out to be wrong and misleading at times so I will take it with a double pinch of salt. 7 airbags as standard is totally unheard of and I never imagine toyota doing it given the miserly treatment it gives to the Corolla.

| ![]() All versions are excellent! IR Glass/CVT/7 airbags starting right from base version will mean people from lower segment buying higher version cars due to manufacturer's compulsion can now think of J or G version with more safety and better specs. |

| ![]() Full marks to Toyota for not compromising on safety in the base variant! Absolutely trumps the City in this respect! Going by the features list, I believe the "G" variant has most essential features, save for the rear discs, and would probably be the most VFM variant out there. It only remains how optimistically priced this thing will be. If it starts at ~12L ex-showroom, it will put it in the City VX price range. Very likely that given the feature set, the Yaris VX would comfortably surpass the City ZX in pricing. City's only comeback would be to cram more features in its lower variants and perhaps create an impression that it is somehow a better driver's car out there. |

![]() Guess they should go with Innova like strategy, which when launched initially was decently priced and then built such a brand recall, that now even with its ridiculous pricing TOYOTA is laughing all the way to the bank. Hope they don't go way too over-board and kill it like 1st Gen Jazz for HONDA. It was substantially equipped for its time in the base variant as well but the pricing just scared people away into the hyundai showroom and i20 skyrocketed. ![]() Last edited by SoumenD : 10th April 2018 at 18:07.

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Toyota birdies are reporting that the Yaris will have a starting price of Rs 10 lakhs and the top variant will round off at Rs 13 lakhs, both ex-showroom Delhi. Last edited by RavenAvi : 10th April 2018 at 18:01. |

| ![]() Now this is an open challenge to the incumbent players of the segment. Now even with a slight premium over each competing variant to variant, Toyota may get the nod of the buyer junta thanks to the safety features that the Yaris brings to the table over its competitors while the T badge will bring in snob value too. |

| ![]() Its feature loaded but there are few obvious misses: 1. No manual VX variant 2. No mentions about alloy wheels in J and G 3. No celestial black colour :( (love that in corolla) |
