Wow! Overall stance and size looks very good. This one is getting ready for the crash test (may be in their in house facility). It has many features like alloy wheels, rear washer, shark fin antenna, working head/tail lamps etc. All pointing to internal crash test facility, and they may show us the video during the launch.

Or are they very confident that they are getting it tested by external agencies even before the launch?

This one is going to sell ~ 1500-2000 units a month at leaked price range.

I think Tata will observe how many people will put the booking amount down at the pricing they just leaked. I expect bookings to be subdued. Then i expect tata to launch at a block buster cheaper tag than leaked. Waiting periods will stretch to months. Prices will slowly begin creeping and will reach leaked price strata.

What is the Skoda way? XUV too has 5 lug nuts. Higher the power needed in application, more are the number of lugs. Harrier has same wheel size as XUV, similar engine power and weight would be comparable too.

Got a call from Tata today morning and got a confirmation that booking starts today at 30K and online payments will be allowed from (3 PM) today, I am not sure about 3 PM as the voice was distorted and couldn't hear properly , will be prebooking the car today . Let's hope Tata comes up with a good pricing for prebooking customers

All big cars have 5 lug nuts in each wheel. So do the Hexa and Safari Storme. In fact, Toyota Fortuner gets 6. This is required as these are heavy and fairly powerful vehicles that are expected to undergo a good amount of rough use.

Booking amount is 30000 and it opens @ 3PM today. That is what Tata Premier customer care representative told. When asked about refund in case of cancellation, they are not confirming whether it will be fully refundable or not, and we will have to deal with the dealer for getting our amount back.

We do not know much about the vehicle or pricing details, and they expect us to do advance booking by paying 30K with no assurance. People who are thinking of booking please be careful.

Do the dealerships have any knowledge of the variants? Or is the booking amount just a blanket amount and one needs to decide the variant later? Also is the amount completely refundable later?

Full refund on booking amount is the industry norm, except for few cases where they charge 1000 to 2000 INR cancellation charges. Anyway will keep in mind and check with KHT Whitefield on the cancellation policy

What right does a dealer have to charge cancellation charges when a consumer does not have the opportunity to assess the vehicle. its variants, value and price? The customer has a right to making an informed decision first before forking out the readies!

True, I donot think there will be any cancellation charges, especially given the circumstances of people booking the car with some sketches, leaked videos and the Name alone to go for. But need to check with the showroom to confirm before making the payment.
