Door looks like the Safari. It has the family steering wheel with a slightly different button layout like the Hexa. Drive mode slector like the Hexa. The instrumentation looks less premium than the Hexa. This cabin looks different but oh so familiar I am getting nostalgic.

Car has done more than 25k kms under testing too.

It looks like INST FE of 15.72 km to me. Even that is fairly respectable. With a fuel tank of around 55 L it should give the car a range of around 850km. DTE of 1572 kms is highly unlikely as even with an FE of 20+ and a tank of 55 L the max range would be 1100 km.

If you look closer - INST FE is the below arc which is graded from 0 on the left to 30 kmpl on the right. Looks similar to the one on the Honda City.

Above it is the DTE.

No..Look carefully..INST FE is a range from 0 to 30km/l below. The car is OFF/ just started hence the mark is in the beginning itself. It does look like DTE is 1572 which is unbelievable. Also note above that the tank is NOT FULL.

PS: Another thing which I noticed is that from the image it looks like fuel tank is going to be on the right side. All TATA cars be it Tiago/Tigor/Hexa/Nexon all have fuel tanks on left side. Is that different because of new platform. The fuel tank on right side is a typical European style imo.

It is indeed DTE. considering the fuel tank reading (almost full), it can't be 15.72 KM/157.2 KM. The car is idling (tacho around 1000 RPM and speedo at 0). This might be the reason of this botched up DTE reading.

I don't think the reading is botched up. LR Discovery has fuel tank capacity of 85L. If Harrier has same capacity then with system calculated fuel efficiency of 20 kmpl, full tank range would come to 1700 kms. Also, the fuel level in pic has dropped by one bar, so 1572 kms looks just about right. If this is true, we are looking at one hell of a cross-country touring machine!

Let us not jump to the conclusion. It looks like the driver had hypermiled the car before this pic was taken. Real life mileage/range would be much lower. Reading of 30kmpl over 10% fuel tank consumption and DTE of 1572km suggest a fuel tank capacity of 58-60 lit which is in line with Discovery Sport fuel tank capacity (usable capacity of 54 lit as per land rover website)

Tried inverting the pic to see the steering design, horn-pad design is very close to the one on the concept.

Looks like mirror adjustment stalk. Wondering why would you have manual adjustment for ORVM? Doesn't gell with what seems like the other available features!!

All these + missing infotainment system and mono chromatic MID seems to be hinting towards spied unit being a base variant.

At least a possible variant to facilitate low entry price tag to make the wow impact at launch.

Maybe it got reset after the car was refuelled (the fuel gauge does indicate the vehicle having almost tankful of fuel) And since the instantaneous mileage is 30 kmpl, that number has probably been used to calculate the DTE. 1572/30 = 52.4 which is close to what the tank capacity on a vehicle of this size should be.

It gets cruise control !
The left side of the steering wheel buttons layout has - volume, voice commands, Bluetooth telephony and track selector. Left seems to have something that looks like cruise control. And one more button.
Was hoping to see a colour MID there. Like the Hexa.
