ya its 60k, but with the ubiquitous asterisk sign. 32k is the cash part and 28k is when you take loan from icici fianance. it totals upto 60k. that what my dealer told me. is it anything different there? let me know.

How common is this "finance discount"? Is it usually adorned by more "ubiquitous" signs? may be higher int. rate or other payment restrictions which I had mentioned earlier or the likes...

Can somebody throw some light on the situation in bangalore? ...I had asked ICICI and SBI people about it, but they plainly denied!

Just spoke to the Tata Dealer here, TAFE and they are offering Rs.20K (that includes discounts for the loan/interest if we get the loan from Tata Finance) for the Indica V2 plus the scratch card.

The finance discounts as we normally call it, are termed as "sub-ventions" and these are offered by the financier (correct me if I am wrong...) which gets effected as a low interest rate or in some rare cases as cash discount. Sub-ventions exist for all cars and all models, but for the ones that sell well (like the NHC/Indica, etc) the dealers and the finance companies don't pass it on to the customer. Then there is the dealer discount.... which is another big story.

I think you should recheck... recently came across ads saying tata is offerring 50K discount on all models, though not sure if it applies all over india and what other terms & conditions are!

It actually reads "upto 50K".... guess which model gets the max discount... For the V2 Turbo it's only 8K....

oops...did not notice that most irritating word found in almost all discount ads- "upto". got carried away by "all models" instead!! one should expect the max limit of 50K to be reserved for safari then

MUL has enhanced their discounts, for baleno now you get 1st year insurance + 25K cash disc. + 15K for corp... (+ dealer + finance... possibly! )
