Buddy the Baleno is officially discontinued as of a couple of days earlier. The delears and the company will now try to push these cars out to consumers asap. Should be able to get a good discount now. keep ur eye open but be prepared for greater depreciated values if u wanna sell later.

Last month I bought a LXi at Rs.5.85 lakhs OTR (a discount of Rs.65k). Can't believe VXi was made available at 5.5L OTR. Would love to have the details...not that it is going to help me in any way.

@Proxima
I don't think they would be giving heft discounts immediately
I think they will be selling last year models for some more time till the stocks are out or maybe till the end of jan or later.

Hi Entity, currently there are no such cash discounts which you see in all the posts above. These discounts where given in DEC-06..also look at the post dates in the above threads. These discounts were given to phase out all 2006 manf cars...i would say ur too late in viewing the thread. Currently manydealers are giving insurance for free...check it out !!

I booked my Safari DICOR EX 4x4 in December 2006 and specifically asked for a 2007 model. Got the same discounts as year-end buyers got.

the entity, at first glance it would seem that opting for the dealer's financier will give you the best deal. But don't fall for that and negotiate with all parties (dealer, financier, insurance) separately for discounts. You can also choose any combination you like of these 3 - nobody can deny you this.

Hi Jango,
thanks for the information.I find it very funny, that every dealer quotes a different price.and the variation in prices are upto 1.5 lakhs?whats the hitch?

Hi entity,
Elantras are not selling well. So, the dealers are offering huge discounts. Check out all the dealers in your region and bargain with them further. The CRDi comes in only one trim level AFIK. Leather seats are dealer options I guess. I got free insurance for my CRDi way back in August 2004.
