If the launch is nearby and the training is going on of the executives. what are they trying to test now? Is that the diesel version on test?

Earlier someone commented that the 1.5 L diesel mill during testing was caught with some major issue post 1L kms.

With this, the launch of Ciaz will be initially with the Hybrid Petro variant.

Since Sedans, Hatchbacks are lighter and hence more fuel efficient running on petrol. Also petrol torque seems to be sufficient to pull these cars.

However most UVs return(perceived) low fuel efficiency on petrol as compared to diesel. Eg: Creta, BR-V etc. Let me not even consider the likes of XUV, Innova petrol etc

Maruti has no petrol engine on S-Cross, Brezza etc, but i am sure that Maruti can tune them into a frugal petrol car as well. Perhaps they are busy milking the 1.3 DDis for now and wait till 2020.

THank you. Got Rs 60,000 cash discount, Rs 8,000 worth free accessories, Rs 50,000 exchange bonus and Rs 10,000 scrap value for my father's 1997 Maruti 800 that was lying untouched for years. Total benefits worth Rs 1.28 lakh. Sorry, can't reveal the dealer name as he has asked me to refrain from divulging this info. He says he can get in trouble if the company gets to know about the 'unofficial' discounts. But what I can tell you is that the offer from another authorized dealer was quite close to this (roughly 15,000 lesser). Plus, he didn't have the colour of my choice.

In that case I would recommend you report your post and ask mods to either blur out photo of salesperson or delete that photo. Dealership could be identified from this photo if anyone digs deep. Sorry for

Rumour: Select Nexa dealers taking bookings for Ciaz facelift

Reports suggest that select Nexa dealers have started accepting bookings for the Ciaz facelift. The booking amount has been set at Rs. 21,000.



The updated Ciaz is expected to be launched sometime in August 2018. Spy images and recently revealed teaser images indicate that the new Ciaz will get revised headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, a new front grille with chrome accents and a redesigned front bumper with chrome trim. The car is likely to get chrome door handles and LED tail lamps, while also featuring new design alloy wheels.

The interior of the car hasn't changed much though. The dashboard layout is similar to the outgoing model but gets lighter faux wood trim and a revised instrument cluster. Cruise control is likely to be offered on select variants.

It has been reported that the new Ciaz might get a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology, which replaces the old 1.4-litre unit. The engine is likely to be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

I think the facelift looks good and gives the car an upmarket feel from the front. However I wish in these modern times it should come with a 6 speed tranny.

Yes, it should have come even in petrol variant. The diesel 1.5 Ciaz and Ertiga are undergoing tests with 6 speed manual transmission.

That front end looks good. The rear end is mostly carried over from the current car. I like how this is shaping up.
