Ciaz in August and Ertiga by festive season (~ Oct) are the planned launches from Maruti Suzuki.

In fact Mahindra's MPV too is slated for a festive season launch

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz face-lift launching on 20th August.

Shift in date of earlier announced Aug 6th was due to the date clashing with new Honda CR-V’s media drive.

re: The Maruti Ciaz Facelift. EDIT: Now launched at ₹ 8.19 lakhs

A Nexa salesman just confirmed that Ciaz will get Sunroof on some models.
I am trying to make use of the available offers on pre-facelift version to book myself one of the exisiting stock pieces.

Looks like Maruti has completely exhausted the entire stock of the current generation Ciaz. It sold only 48 units in July 2018 as per the following article: URL

The additional safety features in the base variant are a welcome addition.

The Top end Alpha always came with 16-inch alloy wheels, I think just the design has been changed. Personally I liked the older ones better.

As per the article, Maruti looks to have again missed the opportunity to provide sunroof in the Ciaz. I'm sure prospective customers would have been looking forward to one and certainly Maruti has missed a trick here.

But it gets back at doing what it does the best- the FE dept. The new 1.5 hybrid petrol should be the most efficient petrol in the segment it will compete in.

Regards,
Saket.

Can someone please check if the same will be offered in S-Cross also. The RM had hinted that there will be some features added to S-Cross in August but no idea about it.

It will be great if they put that 1.5 L petrol engine in the S-cross and add an automatic. That will be a real good product

I think the goodies like LED headlights, tail lamps, fog lamps, DRLs and rear camera will be reserved for Alpha variant. Giving only 16 inch machine cut alloys will not justify Alpha variant. Maruti does the feature distribution in a similar way on Swift, S-Cross and Baleno.

Can you please confirm if these safety features would trickle down to the S-Cross also? I feel S-Cross and Brezza need it more considering their lineage than a Ciaz.

Yes it will trickle down to S Cross, but the question to be answered is when?

Your RM could provide the time frame of the updates.

If you are not in a tearing hurry for buying S Cross, suggest you wait a bit longer.
