The CNG filling valve and the plate should have been housed inside the fuel lid like it is in the case of other CNG cars offered by Suzuki

Hi s10,

No I didn't get any confirmation from any of the sources. Seems like it is only for taxi segments. But since Aspire launched in CNG I'm no longer considering the Dzire. I'm waiting for Figo to be launched in CNG as I'm not a fan of the compact sedan segment, beige interiors, etc. You can also look for the Ford twins as they are better in almost all aspects compared to the Dzire if you are looking to buy in this segment.

The BS6 Maruti Dzire Tour S uses an older version of the brand’s 1.2-litre NA petrol engine.

Maruti Suzuki has launched the BS6 CNG variant of the Tour S (more popularly known as the Maruti Dzire Tour S or simply, Dzire Taxi) at Rs 6.37 lakh. Alongside, the company has also launched the S (O) petrol BS6 as well as the S (O) CNG BS6 variants of the Maruti Tour compact-sedan. The prices stand at Rs 5.81 lakh and Rs 6.41 lakh, respectively. The figures mentioned here are ex-showroom.

The new Maruti Tour is still based on the second-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire compact-sedan. In fact, it still uses the old K12M 1.2-litre dual-VVT NA four-cylinder petrol engine that came in relatively older Maruti Suzuki products, but in BS6 specification. The current line of 1.2 Maruti Suzuki models uses a ‘DualJet’ Dual VVT configuration which promises substantial improvement in combustion efficiency while keeping frictional losses to the minimum.
