re: The Maruti Baleno Facelift, now launched @ 5.45 lakhs

If the facelift Baleno headlights are the same physical size dimension-wise compared to the pre-facelift ones, then the outgoing Baleno non-Alpha owners will love to swap them to the new projector units. Dont think these would cost more than 10k (without the LED DRL one) from the MGA spares for a pair. Would give a new look and help as mid-life goodies.

And why cant Maruti provide the export version 16" alloys at-least now. Looks best for a non-Diamond cut one and yet elegant. https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/attac...41666944_n.jpg

Blue interiors should have been a darker one. These don't match with every color.

I believe they are the same dimensions as per those pics. I'm one of those guys who is sitting on the fence to take a plunge and slap those headlights on my Delta. But I doubt they would cost 10k for a pair. I would rather believe it would be 10k per side. But it would still be better than the 18k per side Bi-Xenon HID.

If they do sell it for anything less than 20k, I might just take the plunge and give my car a new look.

re: The Maruti Baleno Facelift, now launched @ 5.45 lakhs

Why Maruti why?

a) The alloys in the facelift is just boring and too bling. You could have given us the 16" version of the Ignis alloys.
b) Flat bottom steering wheel from Swift would have really transformed the interiors.
c) Body colour door handles and body/dark grey boot lid spoiler could have been offered.

So, does anyone have news on whether RS variant is included in the facelift?

This is so disappointing. The fog lamp housing, the chrome and the mesh design on the front fascia, the blue detailing on the upholstery, the alloys all look nothing but distasteful to me.

In the old vs new price comparison, there seems to be big hike in AT variant prices. While, the manual variants see a mild hike. Any specific reason for this?

Face-lifted Baleno has alloys identical to Ertiga wheel caps
I guess that's just about as "Precision Creative" as Maruti could get!!

I think the German GT twins revolutionized the Affordable Performance Hatch market in India. So everybody started launching their own "Performance" variants.

Baleno and the Swift really deserve bigger/better engines. The K series 1.2 is still good, but that puny 1.3 DDiS has been there since humans discovered Iron I guess.

This came out of nowhere :O

But wait, does this also mean its the death of the 1.0L BoosterJet? I remember them selling with a Consumer Offer of Rs 60K last year.

Seems like the 1.5 diesel was just a myth!
MS has no interest in letting go off the 1.3 Multijet.

All hype no fruit!

Why blame the manufacturer? The hype was never created by Maruti! The Baleno diesel with the 1.3 diesel engine goes like a rocket if driven hard. Does it really even need a 1.5? For a few very keen enthusiasts (not sufficient to build a business case), maybe. But for the vast majority?
