I think UV cut glass was a nice to have feature in the zeta variant. But they have added the touchscreen now, not sure if it is the same one as the alpha variant though. Projectors are a good addition I think. For the budget conscious, the Delta would be a great option else the zeta will fill just right in.

Delta is now a perfect choice for someone on a budget. It gets LED headlamps (now that is super cool), power folding mirrors, auto ac, and rear defogger/wiper. 90% of the population will be pretty happy with these features as they are all 'must have' now-a-days (LED headlamps is an added advantage).

I think Maruti has done a very good job with feature distribution. The only grouse is deletion of UV cut glass from the lower variants. It was such a cool (no pun intended) thing to have especially after the supreme court ban on sun films. UV cut glass should come as standard on all cars / variants now.

New facelift Baleno bookings open on NEXA App. There is no Ray blue color in the list, but two new color names are being added: Metallic Magma Grey and Pearl Phoenix Red.

If some forwarded WhatsApp messages are to be believed then petrol engine of New Baleno comes with 4 cylinders with dual injectors per cylinder, double VVT and dual-mass flywheel.

Baleno has aged pretty well and doesn't look old by any stretch of imagination, especially the exterior is that of well proportioned attractive hatch, that's endeared itself to over 500000 customers in a short span of 38 months. I think it's getting launched with the present set of engines; wish they had given a pair of new engines at least in the topmost variants, for that extra sting.

AFAIK, all the current set of engines are being carried over unchanged. The dualjet 1.2 may or may not be introduced during BS6 introduction, but as of now, there will be no changes.

As usual, ugly and overstyled alloy wheels from Maruti, yet again. Why can they not take a leaf out of VWs books and provide clean, understated and elegant alloy wheel designs like those on the Polo? The existing Baleno's alloy wheels were quite drab in themselves, and this looks no better.

So Baleno is the next one to get the so called Smartplay Studio system. I guess this system will find its way to all models sporting the Smartplay Infotainment System by Bosch. I think it's an Android based system. Let's see how good/bad it is when compared to other one once Wagon R review is done.

I am still trying to understand what is that "NEW" in this so called Facelift. I don't see any reason why a potential Baleno customer would have to postpone their purchase for this so called Facelift. Whatever is marketed as new features in the Facelifted Baleno, Maruti could have very well given it in the existing version labelled as "Limited Edition" (and they are good in such campaign!)
