Tata Motors is gearing up to launch a limited edition version of the Tigor called the 'Buzz'. Latest spy images suggest that the Tigor Buzz will receive cosmetic updates similar to the Tiago Wizz, which was launched in September 2017.



The Tigor Buzz is likely to be based on a mid-level variant. It comes with a black roof and ORVMs and gets 'Buzz' badges. On the inside, the car gets red accents around the air-conditioning vents. It lacks a touchscreen infotainment system and instead gets a basic Harman head unit.



The Tigor Buzz will be offered with the same powertrain options as the standard model. The 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine makes 84 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm @ 3,500 rpm, whereas the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder diesel unit produces 69 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 140 Nm @ 1,800-3,000 rpm. Both engines come equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

ARAI certification reports out for Tigor Buzz. Hinting towards imminent launch.
Being based on XE variant, I am quite sure that it will skip on basic safety kit. Sad.

The parcel tray in front of passenger in the opening post picture indicates missing airbag, which is sad. I guess there will be no ABS either.

All this is fine and dandy, but where are the hot versions of the Tiago / Tigor.

I'm talking about the Tiago / Tigor JTP, that were displayed at the Auto Expo earlier this year.

Right from the days of the original Indica, Tata has been showcasing these 'sport' limited variants of all their hatchbacks at Auto Expos, and have promised to produce them. However, they have failed to deliver.

This time at the Auto Expo, they seemed 100% certain that the JTP will see the light of the day.

The Tata Tigor Buzz is priced at Rs 5.68 lakhs for the petrol version and Rs 6.57 lakhs for the diesel version, ( all prices ex – showroom Delhi)

The Tigor Buzz will be offered with a manual transmission and is based on the XT trim, and commands a premium of Rs 40,000-Rs 50,000 over the standard model.

From looking up the website https://tigor.tatamotors.com/price, the Buzz is about Rs. 8,000 more at ex-showroom price than the XT variant on which it is based ... plus the cost of a couple of accessories mentioned at the bottom of the page.

Another limited edition on the cars - the Tigor has been spotted with a touchscreen infotainment system by Rush Lane readers.

Avid automotive enthusiasts Nikhil Khadse and Aman Siriah have managed to capture a Tigor prototype on test with a touchscreen infotainment system. Fitting an infotainment screen would mean redesigning the center console but as the photo suggests, the AC vents will stay untouched.
It’s difficult to say more about the infotainment unit but it could very well be the same Harman touchscreen system that’s used in the Nexon or the Zest. The unit in question incorporates Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, video playback, radio, voice command and so on. The system in Zest also incorporates AC controls but Tiago / Tigor has a dedicated panel for AC on the center console.
We expect the updated Tigor to be introduced in time for the festive season. Expect a few more features in the new model in addition to the touchscreen infotainment system.
